ACME Markets

The staff are friendly and help new customers find their way around when you ask them. There's a seating area with some short tables or a high bar, next to a microwave as well, along with plastic wear for eating. Definitely a really nice sitting place, and everything is usually really neat and in stock

This Acme gets the job done but it is a very small location! The one on South Street has a wider selection but this one is really cute and has all of the basics. Just small!!!

Decent selection and fills a gap in the area, but extremely suspect math purchase-wise. If your store is going to be sales/coupon-driven, you have to make sure you aren't also fraudulently handling them. Items will be $6 one day and $1 the next and back up to $6 beyond just sales, I attempted to use a gift card today and they refused it (the staff argued with one another a lot over how to do it), and during the gift card drama I had to go to the register, the self-checkout and guest rewards and all three rung me up with different sales at different prices each time, so much so I even had to put back stuff at self-checkout that then went for sale at guest services. When I said "hey you notice the register amount is a completely different amount than the one here?" they said "oh that's because it's applied at the end" which doesn't make sense, most transactions don't get final balances at three different registers.

This location smells like cat urine. I’m not sure if it’s a venting duct issue or something inside of the store itself but it’s a terrible smell. I’ve had to stop shopping here because the smell is so persistent. Aside from that the store is fully stocked.

We came here to purchase some beers for thanksgiving and after a 25 minute walk from the hotel we found this supermarket with a well stocked beers and wines section. Sadly we were unable to purchase any as the store would not accept a UK driving license as a valid form of ID. I can rent a car & get served in a bar in the US using my driving license for ID but apparently I can’t purchase alcohol in a supermarket (I’m 50 years old so I’m sure my wrinkles would also confirm my age!). Overseas visitors beware its passport ID or nothing at this store. Very disappointed 😞

On multiple occasions, have had to return moldy fruit and out of date food, once chicken that was on shelf almost a month longer than it should be. They shrug and refund. Not even an apology.

DO NOT COME. ON 10/19/2025 I came in at 21:58 close to closing and purchased the cold deli fried chicken. I proceeded to pull the chicken and put it into my Alfredo. The chicken may as well been a salt lick. It was disrespectfully salty and ruined my night of meal prepping for my 3 day trip as a flight attendant. I called the manager the next morning and she either Grace or Becky said that they would be able to exchange it if I came in with a recipet. I came back went all the way across town because I got stuck in Philadelphia and had a home layover - Shutdown - and found a replacement equal price I told the manager on duty, Jayshon, THAT I DID NOT WANT A REFUND I JUST WANTED TO EXCHANGE!! He did not listen to my request refunded my card and I didnt bring my full wallet and only had that one card and was running a quick errand so that I could meal prep and just go to sleep HORRIBLE TERRIBLE THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND A TREMENDOUS INCONVENIENCE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE BECAUSE WHY WOULD SOMEONE POUR SO MUCH SALT ONTO THE CHICKEN RENDERING INEDIBLE ALSO JAYSHON, BECKY, GRACE AND ROCKY ARE TERRIBLE AT BEING ADVOCATES FOR CUSTOMERS AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME GOING BACK AND FORTH WHEN ALL YOU NEEDED WAS AN EXCHANGE I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EATING FROM THEIR DELI THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AT PREPARING FOOD THAT WONT GET YOU A STROKE

Any local will tell you that the location of this Acme is convenient. That alone garners stars. The produce is lacking and often looks a little old for the shelf. When the added beer & wine, along with a "cafe" eating section it only mades a cramped store even more so.

Acme is the best supermarket the delivery service is the best thing I use to get everything I need to eat the correct way
