I have a 1970 FJ43 which had a multiple issues, clutch, steering and electrical which other shops tried to fix without luck. Gus, the owner of Volsar, took on my project and did an absolute fantastic job. He and his crew were knowledgable and focused on getting my vehicle back on the road. Gus even personally went to NH to meet with a supplier ensure he was getting the right parts to install power steering and have it be original to my classic car. If you have a Toyota FJ, or any classic vehicle in the Boston area, this is your shop.

I went here to have them check my car after a faulty jump start. They couldn't find anything wrong with my car even though the radio was clearly not working. They ended up not charging me after I argued about it, which I thought was fair since they didn't find anything wrong. They did give me a quote for replacing the radio though, but the price was outrageous with almost $200 for labor and $500 for a part. However, it took me about 10 minutes to replace the part myself with only $50 spent for the part from the junkyard. For that price they should be cleaning and detailing my car. They also weren't sure which part was damaged, when I figured it out myself in a few minutes. It just seems like every other shop in Boston - a shop for people who have minimal experience working on their own car that do not know how to change their own oil.

Gus and his team are wonderful! I've been going here for 5 years (2 different cars) and have found the crew at Volsar to be knowledgeable, prompt, fair, and accommodating. I tell everyone looking for a mechanic to head over to Volsar, and will take my cars here for as long as I live in the area.

Drove up from Atlanta to visit my family for Xmas….and wouldn’t you know the heat in my car started acting up. I knew what the problem was as I just had it “fixed”. George got me in right away so I could drive home without freezing my butt off. Super fair price as it was less than what I paid in Atlanta yet they flushed my system twice as many times. Fast, reliable and friendly. What more could you ask for?? Thanks Gus, George and company!

The last few times my car has needed repairs, I have taken it in to Volsar. Today was one of those days. I didn't have an appointment, Gus took me in right away and put a new battery in. Gus and the guys have been extremely helpful with helping me with my car issues. I would recommend them to anyone that needs any repairs on their vehicles.

I had a very good experience at Volsar! Not only did they complete the services requested in a timely manner, but they were considerate about the vehicle. When I received the car back, it had a floor mat, seat covers, and more. The price was beyond fair aswell. I've been bringing my cars Volsar for over 15 years. I have never been disappointed in the quality of there work. I often leave my vehicle for oil change and tire rotation with the instructions to check it over and let me know if you see any problems. I would never put this kinda trust in a dealership because I fear they would find problems that don't really exist. I have no such hesitation with Gus and the team Volsar. They earned my trust and repeat business over the years. A family owned and operated business that you can depend on. Highly recommended!!

My car's windshield wiper fluid stopped working this winter, so I brought it to Volsar - they found and repaired the problem same day (a blockage in the hose) and replaced rear wiper blade & checked a few things I asked for (which ended up not needing any work), all for a reasonable price (~ 160$). My car is new-ish, so I hadn't been recently until now, but I recall good experiences with them from my old car (early-mid 2010s), and also my partner used them for tire replacement and had a good experience. They are friendly, responsive and reasonable. And they don't have the "macho" attitude that some mechanics have. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best garages around. They are honest and professional. I drove my car probably farther than I should have just so I could have Gus look at it.
