Any company who uses this company is doing it solely to save money and screw you out of meds. They make you jump through hoops and force you to work virtually with poorly rated Drs who are out of state. They then make you do 60 days of this, then 6 months of oral meds (even if your highly experience GP recommends against). Any company who chooses this as part of their PPO should be ashamed!

The stupidest experience ever. My health insurance said signing up was the only way to get weight loss medication. After having to do labs and answer several repetitive questionnaires, I was told by the provider I didn't qualify and they threw me on Metformin. I am having issues with losing weight even though I watch what I eat and exercise regularly. The Metformin made me extremely sick and it took a WEEK for anyone to respond to me. Metformin does not even help with weight loss. I quit taking it and deleted the app. It takes several days for anyone to answer inquiries. It's a waste of my time. Please listen to my experience and stay away. Go in-person to see medical providers and save yourself the hassle.

NO! Seriously, do not do this to yourself! If only no stars were an option…. Unless you are forced for some reason to use this company, avoid them at all costs. I have to call these people EVERY SINGLE MONTH just for a letter that allows me to work with my own provider. Don’t bother calling. Their “escalation” process is just forwarding your problem to the QA department, whose number they refuse to give you. Stay away

First time I scheduled the appointment, the dietician did not show up. Next available appointment was after 2.5 months, I forgot after scheduling because of the hugh time gap, then jen the dietician started giving me attitude. This is way too slow for me, If you want to actively help someone, first step is .. you should be available. Looking at the provider to patient ratio, that does not look like the case with vida. IMO, not worth the trouble. Much easier to go the regular physicians. I anyway had a membership because of my company, and I will provide my feedback to them as well.

I completed my Vida profile on Tuesday. One Dietician was offered for scheduling with earliest appointment being on the evening of Dec. 26th. I requested an earlier date from an alternate dietician and I have heard nothing other than 'We apologize for the delay in our response, as we are experiencing higher than normal volume...Once we verify your membership, we'll address your request soon.' I called their 800# and I waited for 10 minutes before a computer asked me to leave a message. That was 30 hours ago.'

The worst. The doctors are not certified. They don't respond very unperfessional. Can't speak to anyone. It should be illegal for an employer to force you to get mens from such a place that cares nothing about your health. If I could give zero stars I would. I will fight to never have to use this program due to all the inconsistencies.

Love the app. It is easy to log food and it tracks all nutrients. So I can see how much fat, sodium etc. I have per day. Good content also. I am grateful that my insurance covers this program.

Potential HIPAA violation: My first telehealth appointment with a Vida Health physician was conducted from a restaurant- a Waffle House. I could hear music in the background, waiters setting tables and talking about the food with other people, and other customers' conversations while we discussed my private medical history and verified my identity. I'm seriously concerned my confidential health information could have been overheard or seen on the physician's screen, which made me question Vida Health's commitment to patient privacy. That was only the beginning. My employer requires me to use Vida Health before approving a GLP-1 medication for my sleep apnea, even though two of my physicians recommended it specifically for that - not weight loss. I was told I'd have to spend about 90 days meeting with a doctor and dietitian and trying multiple medications first. The physician told me I needed to understand from the insurance perspective and even though she Admitted the medication she was about to put me on had nothing to do with my diagnosis that was the path that she was requiring me to go down. Instead of treating my sleep apnea, I was prescribed medications for other conditions nothing having to do with sleep apnea. For one, the doctor told me before prescribing it that I should carry a change of clothes because accidents were going to happen. Another was primarily a seizure medication with significant side effects. When I explained that my own physician wanted to pursue the GLP-1 directly, I was told there was "no way" to get it without going through Vida's process. After months of appointments and weekly dietitian meetings, I was nearing the end when I learned my doctor no longer worked there. I was handed off to a new provider who now decides what additional hoops I have to jump through. The whole experience felt like checking boxes, not getting care. It never felt focused on treating my sleep apnea. To make matters worse, I was told I could skip insurance entirely and get the medication with a coupon for about $500 a month out of pocket, which left me wondering who this process is actually designed to help. Between the privacy concerns, the medication side effects, the constant hurdles, and having my provider swapped at the very end, I can't recommend Vida Health - they are gatekeepers to protect the pockets of those who have to pay out. For the prescriptions. If you don’t go through all the steps, you don’t get the services. I think the odds are in the favor that many people drop out before they get through the process. Healthcare shouldn’t be this difficult.
