This company had not told me that there was some electronic company's meter work needed before I signed the agreement form. Instead they said Seattle City Light's inspection was the last step. But it turned out it was not, and the process has been drugged for weeks without me knowing what is going on. I am losing a lot of good sunshine days! The installation process was professional and good, but the problem is management's communication. I am very disappointed to have picked this company.
Everyone I interacted with from sales the project manager to installers were professional and a pleasure to deal with. You could tell they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had time to ask questions every step along the way. It was a bit of a crunch to get everything installed before the end of the year while the tax credit still qualified, but they definitely managed my expectations the whole time despite the demand and had everything completed with about 1 week to spare. There were a couple hiccups in sourcing given everyone in the industry was scrambling, but they were able to find an alternate supplier and get it delivered with minimal disruption. Sam and Jose were professionals during the installation and went out of their way to make sure the installation looked great (despite being short staffed). They were recommended to me and would not hesitate to recommend PSS any time.
After looking at several companies, we selected Puget Sound Solar in the early fall of 2025. There bid process was very transparent and straightforward. It did not include any weird buy backs. They were honest on their ability to get the work done before the end of the year. The did get the job started and ended quickly. During the installation, they were clean and professional. All inspections with the city went fine. We are very happy with our new solar and are looking forward to being more energy independent over the life of our house.
Puget Sound Solar did an excellent job installing my solar panels. They kept me apprised of schedule, potential changes & what they were doing while installing ( Just installed Dec 2025). Everyone was courteous & professional. I had some internet problems with the Enphase app after install- they were here the same day I called to check it out. The price was reasonable and I felt my home was well taken care of as well as all my questions answered. Overall, a very wonderful experience. The solar panels are working great too!
110% satisfied. We chose Puget Sound Solar to install our residential solar panels a year ago, based on their long history in the industry and the detailed information that they provided during the bidding process. Installation was flawless. They were quick, efficient, handled the paperwork for permits and tax Rebates and took the time to help setup the Enphase app so that I could obsessively monitor energy production and usage. We have a pretty perfect roof setup (long, south-facing with no tree shade). PSS estimated that the system would produce about 60% of our annual electricity needs, including charging our EV at home. After the first 12months.of use, I can report that our system actually produced 75% of all of our electricity. Absolutely amazing! It's been really fun to monitor production and usage via the smartphone app, testing how to tip the balance in favor of credits on our SCL bill. The only downside is that I've turned into the stereotypical Dad who yells "Shut the door! Were you born in a barn?!"
From start to finish, Puget Sound Solar was very helpful. They answered all of my questions, were very clear about the process, and quick to respond preparing for and during the installation process. I've had my solar panels for six months now and am very happy with them.
In our quest for Solar, we sought bids from (8) companies here in South Seattle. One "no-bid" because we have a torch down roof, another "no-bid" due to supply chain issues. The others were using a variety of panels from three different sources. The price points had about a $5,000 spread, for similarly sized panels arrangements. In the end we chose Puget Sound Solar for three reasons: 1 - Responsiveness to answer both technical and financial questions. 2 - The Panels, REC 405W, were the ones we think will stand the test of time. Made in Norway. 3 - A strong recommendation from a prior customer about how they were treated during the whole process. In the end, the referral we received was accurate. PSS employee Dan Rogers kept us in the loop all the way and Jake Shields is always available for Q&A on anything related to the system. Thank you PSS!
Like the other reviewers, I can't say enough good things about the overall experience. From the initial contact, to coordinating with inspectors, PSS has been right there for us. I was especially impressed with the installation crew who demonstrated excellent teamwork and professionalism. And, they completed the whole install and system checkout in a single day! Even better, all of the products are manufactured in Washington.
We've been customers of Puget Sound Solar for more than 20 years. They installed solar panels and an EV charger at our previous home, and when we moved recently we had them install solar and a charger again, as well as a new electrical panel to accommodate all of that. All the folks we worked with were very knowledgeable and helpful, and much of the work was done ahead of schedule. (The part that wasn't was delayed by heavy rain and then an ice storm, so can't fault them for that...) Highly recommend!
I let the Puget Sound Solar installed my solar panels. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work and the level of customer service that I received from the team. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the team was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process.
