Back in October of last year I chose PSS to design and install a solar and backup battery system on my house based on my own research online, and that they actually sold equipment other than Tesla Powerwall. The Enphase system they offer has a great feature set, and the LiFePO4 battery chemistry is much more stable than some "other" systems on the market. They responded to my web form request in 1 business day (very impressive) and the design proposal went off without a hitch. I liked they looked over my power bills and sent someone out to actually evaluate what my needs were. They presented several options with different types of solar panels and battery capacity and were willing to entertain my 20 questions. I had questions about interference with my amateur radio gear, and upon providing more information they were open to changing the design and installing ferrite chokes I provided (worked great, btw. no QRM from the system as best I can tell). There was a bit of manual back and forth between PSS and PSCCU for the financing, but nothing that wasn't just a few emails. Not a big deal. The order was placed, and timeline expectations were set. The install crew was very professional, and I would consider them knowledgeable about the product as long as you don't ask weird IT nerd questions like "can I connect these batteries to my z-wave system and monitor them?" those are out of scope for an integrator like this to know, imo. The panel installers and electricians all took great pride in the work and did beautiful EMT pipe work. The wiring was well labeled and PSS provided As-Builts of the system. As the battery backup could not support my oven, they installed a load shed device and this was the one spot of trouble with the system, but PSS was very good about sending out techs to resolve it. However, for some people not having an oven for a few days may be a bigger issue, so keep that in mind when designing the battery system. All of that being said, now that I've had the system for the better part of half a year? It generates power, but the sun hours calculations were off. Manage your expectations going into something like this. Don't expect to have zero power bill. Overall, I am happy with my system and would use PSS again. They do great work.
After getting 5 different bids we decided to go with Puget Sound Solar, so glad we did. Friendly, great communication from start to finish and quality work. Roof looks really good with new panels and are working well. Looking forward to recommending their services to others!
Puget Sound Sollar just completed my home's solar install and I'm super happy with the results. The install looks very clean at eye level and I can tell when I review up close that they are very detailed. The team (Duglas, Sam, Kiam, and Alec) were also phenomenal about keeping the property clean while they worked, and were easy to chat with for my various questions during the project. I didn't have to worry about a thing! No permitting, no inspections, no vendors, no problem! I highly Recommend.
Puget Sound Solar has installed two solar systems for me. 10 years ago they installed one that I replaced with a newer one when I had to replace my roof last year. Every estimate they made on both systems was spot-on. If anything they seem to estimate a little less than what you will get just to make sure they don't overstate it. I can't wait to add to my system.
After contacting at least 10 solar installers, I went with Puget Sound Solar. Jason was hugely helpful during quoting and answered any questions I had. He was straight forward, and didn't pressure me at all. Ryan was great to work with on the delivery side and team ended up installing the entire system while I was out of the country. They reached out as necessary and everything came out exactly as expected.
Had a great experience working with Puget Sound Solar for our home rooftop solar project. From the initial consultation to the final installation, everyone I interacted with was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, patient (special shout-out to Jason and Ryan, who were our primary POCs throughout the process). In then end, we have a system that we're very happy with. We did reach out to several local installers initially but chose Puget Sound Solar because 1) they've been around a while and seem highly reputable (recommended by some of the roofers we talked to), 2) pricing was good, and 3) it seemed they were the most invested in designing a system tailored to our specific needs (they were also happy to compare different configurations, including those proposed by other installers, and very responsive to my questions).
Excellent experience overall. The company stayed in touch through permits, installation, and final approval. The workers were respectful and hardworking, and the finished setup looks much better than I expected.
I just had Puget Sound Solar add home battery backup to my rooftop solar system that they installed in 2022. Once again, I’m very pleased with their work, and the entire system operates really well. Jake worked carefully with me to get the details just right for the quote. I was confident that it would meet my needs and address my concerns. Ryan communicated with me to have the installation go smoothly. And then Sam and Aji came to do the installation, got right down to it, and made sure that everything was done properly. Top notch work, true professionals, thank you guys!
The initial installation of 48 panels was done five years ago, and we've had to call for a technician just once since then. This has been brilliant for us as rates rise ever-more-quickly.
