These guys are experts and did a perfect job on my Tesla/SolarCity solar system install. I could not recommend any other company. If you live around King County, WA, I would suggest you work directly with Puget Sound Solar.
Excellent company to work with. Clear timelines, contract, etc. The SCL inspector was very complimentary of their work also. Installation crew was super professional, and their product manager was great.
We considered PSS and one other company to install panels on our home. We decided on PSS because their explanation of how the installation would go, estimated production and pay-off, and other information was super clear. Everyone we worked with from the initial quote through installation, to payment was friendly, professional, and responsive. They also helped us understand the various tax incentives involved. Would highly recommend PSS for solar!
Have had several projects with them starting in 2013. Always thoughtful and creative at solving the particular challenges at hand. Had an issue pop up years after our solar installation and they honored their warranty 100%, fixing everything at their cost. Had to have inverters replaced due to a manufacturing issue and they took care of that as well. I’ve asked them hundreds of questions and they always provide a good answer.
Any Solar company who refuses to price by panel is flat out lying to you and scamming you. A 10,000 kwh system costs $10k at retail. This company wants $35k installed. Thats a joke. Do yourself a favor, skip these scam companies, find someone to do the install on equipment you purchase. You'll save well over $10k and see a ROI within 5 years, not 20. Adding to my review, this business justifies their bad pricing model around the complexity of the install. It is not difficult to install. Clear pricing based on material is the best approach. Deception is this companies model. Avoid and find an expert not a company to provide quality work at the proper pricing.
An excellent consultation, bid and install of solar on our house by PSS! Also much cheaper than the other bid I received (where the other contractor didn't even bother to personally visit), with excellent follow up. I was pleased with every aspect of my installation from PSS that was in their control. For those that don't know, the L&I and PSE side of things is VERY slow (at least on my project) and not something Puget Sound Solar can control. I gathered multiple bids on my project and went with my gut based on my industry experience and some things I noted about each contractor. They were cost competitive, coming in second most affordable. They were able to communicate clearly with me to meet my needs of a multi-phased project. I had a 5 week contract-to-install time which is unheard of in my experience at the height of summer. The crew that came out was very professional and I got to chat with them a bit as I kept them hydrated during a rather warm set of PNW summer days. Quality of work is top notch. Expectations were met and exceeded. Everything is still chugging along one year in as I ready myself for phase II with PSS. I did recommend to a friend and unfortunately they did not proceed for a few reasons that I understand but so far I keep my trust in PSS.
