Pilgrim Insurance Co

My car had an accident on July 6th, 2024 (Sat) and someone with pilgrim insurance rear ended my car. The person accepted their mistake and shared their insurance and identification details. I called Pilgrim and could not reach the claims department since they are open Mon-Fri. I then went online and filed a complain. On monday I called and asked for the next steps. The customer rep mentioned it might take 5-30 days to do the inspection first and then I will know who is at fault. And till then I wont be able to get a rental car. I am just surprised by how slow this process it with pilgrim and a little frustrated by the lack of follow ups. In contrast, my experience with other car insurances e.g Geico has been very pleasant. They usually authorize car rentals as soon as the claim is filed and the person has accepted their mistake. In the case of pilgrim I am dissappointed. I'll update here as this claim is processed.

10 days after the tow truck that AAA sent out to tow my car to the shop and tow truck driver backed into it after dropping it off and I'm still waiting for them to check it out. Had better service when I was rear-ended 20 years ago and no technology. Ridiculous.

This is by far THE WORST company I have dealt with. They are unresponsive! My car was stolen and I only heard from my adjuster Hayden Rausch 1 time and he does not pick up his phone! I have tried calling his supervisor who also does not pick up his phone! Terrible terrible service!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I bought an insurance through Ald Insurance on October 3rd. Two weeks later, they still haven't delivered my policy. There really can't be such a bad insurance company. I call customer service and nothing is heard except for an incredible hiss. Stay away.

They are worst insurance compqny ever everything take too long i just did insurance with them but they didnt add my finance company and i got big issue with finance company they added later but its took over month. And i got married and all i want just to add my wife to there i send her all information. Their rude customer service said i have to wait i waited for 2 weeks and they just send me new insurance but they didnt change anything they gave me same insurance they didnt add her. And we need this papee work asap. Pls be away from them they just gice you head ache

Pilgrim is the worst insurance agency that I had ever dealt with ! My Ex-husband passed away and they would not cancel his registration. They told me to do it online but I did not have his old phone to get the code for security. They told me that I would have to bring the plates there but I couldn’t because he died in his van 2 hours away. I told them I could send them his death certificate as proof and they told me to bring it to the RMV and I might still need the plates. Complete insensitive morons!!! They deserve 0 stars!!!

I paid the initial 581 dollars, used 1 month of insurance, they started sending me letters saying that my insurance had increased in value, without warning. I canceled the policy, hired another insurance company, that is, I paid 581 dollars to use it for 2 months, and they still keep sending me a collection letter saying that I need to pay another 106 dollars, in addition to everything I already paid. Unfortunately I do not recommend it to anyone!

My person was Veronica! I been waiting weeks for the second set of paperwork that has not showed up at all. Not very knowledgeable treated me as If I was just a number. My experience was so awful I have reached out to BBB to discuss my experience from the second of the accident. They did not take anything I said into consideration. Only wanted to put blame where it’s not justified. My next step is calling my local news to have this and there way of doing things is considered even legal. None of my questions are answered and we just go in circles. Local news and BBB. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Save yourself and go elsewhere any insurance place is better then this place. Straight frauds!

Worst insurance company . They sent me a digital check for refund with no explanation that how they come up with that number . Called and asked them about details , I did not surprise that how rude and disrespectful they are . No explanation at all . His sounds was like what I need to understand , just got the check, shut up don’t and bother me . Awful experience .

After less than satisfactory encounters with my agent from Beacon Insurance I took it to the next step to contact Pilgrim themselves. February 19th I submitted a policy change for a commercial auto. March 1st came and nothing has changed on behalf of the policy after several attempts Frank an under writer picked up the phone call. After giving him my policy number and starting to address my concern of wondering when the policy was going to be updated I was addressed very aggressively with an immediate “I am going to disconnect this call because I am not speaking with the policy holder” I replied with “ I work on behalf of this business that the owner has given me the okay to speak, but just to make things easier I am more than eager to get him on a call and merge the calls so he is present” Very shortly after the owner was on the phone call with both I and him we continued to be interrogated by Frank. Frank proceeded to deflect the conversation to placing blame on our agent rather than clarify why we have yet to see a policy update. He continued to threaten to disconnect the call and would not allow any clarification just proceeded to be abrasive, rude, and disrespectful. I would not consider giving your business to Pilgrim because efficiency, time management, and overall people skills lack immensely.
