Matthew and Shannon made our night! From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to. Their recommendations were spot on, the drinks were expertly made, and they created such a great atmosphere that we didn’t want to leave. You can tell they truly care about providing an amazing experience. If you’re at Amela Mushroom, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar with Matthew and Shannon—you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!
It has been years since I ate at Mellow Mushroom. My Wife was craving a shiitake mushroom pizza and she certainly was not disappointed. I tired the Avondale and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely dug the design and atmosphere of the place. Was semi-tempted to ask for the fire truck table, however, I believe that’s for a large group. Looking forward to our next visit.
Jay was so nice - he noticed immediately that the kiddo was excited about the fire truck so he sat us there. He checked on us frequently but wasn’t overwhelming. Would come again, really appreciated the service and enjoyed our meal.
When we arrived there was virtually no wait. The staff was friendly and at us quickly. Mellow Mushroom offers a huge selection of beers, as you see as you walk by their wall of taps. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. We ordered the enlightened spinach salad and a holy shitaki mushroom pizza. I can't say enough about how much we loved the food! It was delicious.
We always have a wonderful experience at the Avondale location, and a big part of that is Shy! From the moment we walk in, she remembers us and makes us feel genuinely welcomed. Her service is always impeccable, attentive, friendly, and she truly goes above and beyond every single time. The food is consistently hot, delicious, and more than filling, and the atmosphere is always on point, comfortable, inviting, and just a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. If you get the chance, definitely ask for Shy…you won’t be disappointed!
Brooke Smith at Mellow Mushroom is an absolute superstar behind the bar! Her energy is explosive in the best way—fun, engaging, and totally unforgettable. From the moment you sit down, her amazing smile and natural charm make you feel like a regular. She knows how to keep the vibe upbeat while delivering top-notch service. Drinks were perfect, atmosphere was electric, and Brooke made the whole experience next level. If you’re lucky enough to have Brooke as your bartender, you’re in for a great time!

Brandon was one of the best servers I've had in this industry. As someone who works in f&b management if I had a Brandon id clone him. Thai dye pizza was also fantastic but came in second to Brandon's service and attentiveness
