Closing on your new home should be a joyous occasion. Instead, the cranky dude that my realtor chose as a closing agent was impatient, rude, and condescending. Even my realtor was shocked that this was who her broker does business with. I’ve bought and sold over half a dozen times and this was the first bad interaction I’ve had with a title agent. As you can tell from other reviews, mine was no isolated experience.

Believe the reviews. My client used Carolina Law because the Builder required her to in order to qualify for lending credits. They asked for my firms W9 form the day of closing literally while my client was signing her documents. Note the W9 form was mandatory for my commissions check to be MAILED. They do not print checks in their Greenville office. Already very sketchy. They claimed to have overnighted the check on Thursday however it’s Monday the 22nd of August and the check is missing according to UPS. I called the law firm and Bobbi is on vacation (The closing attorney, how convenient) so her assistant is now handling the issue. However the assistant has no urgency. She even questioned the validity of the check being lost in which I told her contact UPS for further details. We spoke around 10:30am about my issue I called back at 3pm and there has not been any resolution. She stated it takes 24hr to place a stop on a check. Pee on me and tell me it’s raining why don’t you. There’s no reason a new check is not in the mail as I type this review. Also note they did not insure the mail so UPS takes not responsibility. How do you mail someone’s commission check and don’t insure it???? This company is sketchy and I will warn clients moving forward about builders attorneys. This company is a joke. I’ll update once I receive my commissions check. Today is august 22nd.

I have worked with the attorney's in this firm on multiple on-going issues in both North and South Carolina for my clients. I have only experienced exceptional and professional service from this law firm. I have worked with Steve, Ian, and David who have all provided their expert legal advice to my clients. The attorneys continue to illustrate competence, diligence, integrity, and professionalism with each task I send to them. I trust this group of attorneys and enjoy working with them. Thank you LFC.

I recently received a notice from Law Firm of the Carolinas stating that a lien could be placed on my home due to unpaid association dues. I immediately contacted them and paid the dues in full. After payment I was informed that an additional fee of two hundred twenty eight dollars was required for legal costs. I explained that I had paid the amount owed to the association and I did not agree to additional charges. Despite that they proceeded to file a lien against my property. Once the lien was recorded they increased the total balance again and demanded more than seven hundred fifty dollars beyond the four hundred dollars I had already paid. In order to clear the lien I was forced to pay close to one thousand dollars over a one hundred twenty dollar association balance. Communication with the firm was extremely difficult. Their posted opening time is eight thirty in the morning but calls were not answered until around nine thirty. Hold times exceeded one hour on multiple calls. Requests for clear explanations of the fees were met with vague answers and no detailed documentation. It is deeply concerning that a small association balance was escalated so quickly into excessive fees and a recorded lien. The approach taken by the firm felt punitive rather than constructive. Homeowners deserve transparency and a reasonable opportunity to resolve balances before extraordinary legal action is taken.

This place is the biggest scam of a business that I’ve ever seen. Money has been sent twice to this business for them to hold onto for MONTHS and then send back to say you owe them more now. Been dealing with them for over 6 months now and have had money returned TWICE and told they were adding additional fees. Last payment was sent in December, today is the middle of April and they are just sending that payment back because they didn’t deposit it when they received it back in December. Most incompetent company I have ever seen!

I am giving 5 stars as my working relationship with Joe Thompson IV and Mandy Miller continues. They are thorough, prompt and client oriented on our real estate closings. They are much appreciated, I recommend them without reserve.

This company was hired to do a closing. They were very unprofessional. They require a wire transfer when closing on a home. But didnt inform me a wire transfer can take 1 to 3 businesses day to process or a few hours. And expected me to sit and wait several hours after the closing until the wire transfer was received in order to give me the keys to my home. Even after providing proof of wire transfer and the Bank manager called to confirm the wire transfer.

Something is very weird. There is a lien on a property I have just acquired. I was informed Law Firm Carolinas was the firm with all the information. Even after their client, CAMS, has formerly sent a demand that they call me, so that I can pay off.the expense, no one from Law Firm Carolinas will return my calls. If Law Firm Carolinas won't even obey the wishes of CAMS, and they write the big corporate checks, then what kind of garbage service would they provide you? If another week goes by, I'm contacting the Bar Association because this is starting to feel beyond lazy. It's beginning to feel "fee hungry" unethical!!!

I’ve found it very frustrating to deal with them, every time I call it seems like they don’t know what’s going on with my case which is only an hoa due, it’s been over a month since I first reach out and still can’t get anyone to give me a straight answer. It almost feels fishy every time I call their answer seem more confusing than before.

Conveniently located law firm l, but parking is a little tight. You could park on the street and walk around to the back parking lot, especially if you want some of the shade the trees on the street provide.
