Wow, they discriminated against me, I'm sure of that. I'm not sure for WHAT? I applied and I have amazing credentials as well as experience. I am a mature candidate but I'm quite capable. However I am also quite new to Minnesota too. Usually I'm not rejected and since I have skills some don't have, I'm usually welcomed in almost every state I've subbed in (but not all). I am rather low tech personally right now though due to lack of employment and age discrimination. I have not been treated well in the area I live in by employers, either. My area is closed minded, not progressing, and not growing either. I'm not treated well and need to move on. Anyway I tried Kelly Education and I'm not sure what the problem was, except I am pretty sure it was discriminatory because I usually pass Subbing qualifications with flying colors. I didn't think she was giving me the right links or emails to start with. Later, I spoke directly to the DOE and I won't say who told me, but I was told Kelly Education was "nasty". Those words. I was highly advised to avoid it. So I will. I'm extremely capable and love what I do. Somebody else will be happy to have me. This area is notorious for demanding "perfect" people, maybe the ones related to each other (wouldn't surprise me). I'm not perfect, but I am pretty good when I'm allowed to be.

I have multiple years of working with kids and substitute teaching. Working with Kelly and Teachers on Call has been mostly rewarding and a great way to make flexible income. However, an admin at a school I worked at apparently didn't care for me so they fabricated a story of my leaving a classroom full of students alone to go get food. It was shocking to be accused of this, needless to say. I was then suspended without any questions asked or investigation of the accusation. Kelly did not stand behind me whatsoever and took months to call back with an update on my suspension. MONTHS. I hope they ready this.

I’ve been with Teachers On Call since September 2019. Using this service for substitute teachers makes the whole experience much more personal & flexible to discuss scheduling & any issues that may arise! They are always available during the day or even evening to take my calls or emails so I can usually get a same day response to any question!

If I could do zero stars I would! I worked with Teachers On call and I had a great experience. The company switched to Kelly and I'll say the professionalism has went away. The company has a 150 day work requirement.They contacted me to pick up a shift and I did, so I could stay activated. I picked up a shift on the list and a few days before my shift they canceled the shift. I was immediately deactivated, when I was ready and willing to do my shift. They canceled my shift, not me. I called and emailed all day to fix the situation and the situation was not fixed. Don't work for this company it is super hard to contact anybody. Nobody emails you back unless they need workers and if you get a call back it will be days most of the time unless they need workers. Read the other reviews, they are not just making things up. I'm also a stay at home wife and I do this work for fun to help out in my community. I was told by Ann that "I don't work that much anyways" I think that's the point Ann. Please look at the low stars for this company, they have low stars for a reason. The first picture is them reaching out.. I told them I haven't picked up a shift because the weather is really bad where I'm at. That's when they sent the email with the list of assignments I could pick up later on towards May when we knew the weather would have cleared. I did what was asked of me and then my account was deactivated. I picked the May 13th shift circled in red, they deactivated me when my shift was canceled. I would have to reapply for the job in September, which is wrong because I didn't cancel. No thank you, not worth the headache. I was doing this for fun and it has become a nightmare! I told them to keep the job. This is why this company is ALWAYS HIRING! The way they handle business is not at a high standard, especially considering it's education... As I make this review they are sitting at 3.4 stars.. Sad! I only transfered to this company because of the merge. I hope this helps someone make a decision to not move forward with this company. You deserve better! I'm so happy I was able to give them their job back and walk away. I quit this job because they don't do good business!
