Jungle House - Luxury Stays

Jungle House is a standard low cost, low quality apartment rental. All of the appliances, paint, furniture, linens, and tools are super low cost as you expect at most rental apartments. For a place called 'jungle' I expected more than five meager house plants. After I paid in full through a booking agency, they refused to give me access to the property until I gave them a $300 security deposit and tried several times to get me to pay a non-refundable fee to 'insure against damages'. This is deceptive pricing model where they lure you in with a low cost up front and then wait until you arrive on site at the property to extract more money from you under extortionary conditions. The owners place several cameras around the property that surveil you constantly and will bill you if they see anyone else enter the property. This is very intrusive and makes it hard to relax. Jungle House staff pester you CONSTANTLY with text messages and email. They sent me 28 text messages, 24 emails, and 3 phone calls, regarding a simple 3 night stay in Columbus at a 1 bedroom apartment. Each of their messages, emails, and phone calls were offers to upsell me on extending my stay, early check in, late check out, asking me to refer my friends, and begging for 5 star reviews. They pester their guests endlessly in order to fill their wallets and extract more money from their guests. Very annoying. I would put up with this treatment if they actually provided good service or a high quality apartment, but they do not. I never met anyone from the organization, they never cleaned the apartment, I didn't find it that clean on arrival, and they never offered me any genuinely helpful service. I cannot recommend staying at Jungle House unless it is your only option and you can tolerate the surveillance state, extremely strict rules, and getting bombarded by a sales pitch every 24 hours.

The place was just as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Location was great for us. Operators very helpful over the phone with details. Liked that rental included on-street parking (no parking lot available on the property) as Columbus overnight street parking is for residents with permits. We would definitely stay there again!

It was a cute neighborhood and a clean space! I was a little overwhelmed by the host company calling and texting me multiple times before, during, and weeks after my stay. There was convenient parking and they were super responsive but it was definitely more hands on than your typical airbnb. I would definitely recommend the company contacting guests less (calling to ask if I needed anything, asking me to recommend the space multiple times, recommending me new places to eat after my stay, requesting reviews, etc) but otherwise it was a good deal and lovely spot. I enjoyed my time in Columbus!

We loved staying at this property. It was perfect close proximity to Nationwide Arena. We slept so well in the beds and the decor was delightful. We had everything we needed for a great overnight stay and the hosts were easy to communicate with and was there for any question we had. We would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you so much for being such awesome hosts. ❤️

The apartment was just as pictured and truly lovely. Loved all the brick! Very well laid out floor plan. We would definitely stay here again! While the space itself was awesome, the most impressive thing was the communication with the Jungle House staff. Immediately responsive to questions and concerns. The day we checked in was record level hot at 98 degrees. The air conditioner understandably struggled and when I called to say how warm the apartment was the staff had 2 window air conditioner units to us amd installed within 30 minutes of my checkin to provide extra support cooling. This allowed the main unit to catch up and made our entire stay super cool and comfortable! Truly impressive customer service. Highly recommend staying at any one of their properties!

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP AND SCAM! Pics and reviews online are deceitful! Property is advertised as luxurious and safe. Home is falling apart inside and out. Walked up to a man using drugs on the front porch, homeless vagrant laying out back, trash in yard, holes in walls, rotted and slanted inside floor, rotted stairs, holes in walls, peeling paint. I did not stay! Immediately left and called property manager to cancel and told him of issues. I was told no refund but that the issues would be “investigated”. BEWARE, DEPLORABLE AND NOT SAFE!

Great place to stay in the downtown area of Columbus. Steps away from plenty of restaurants/ bars, or all the kitchen items you could need if you want a night in. Very communicative host, would stay again

INSECT INFESTATION & UNHYGENIC CONDITIONS We arrived to find dozens of living and dead insects throughout the unit—including the bedroom and bathroom. They were present at check-in; we never left doors/windows open. We documented everything with photos/videos and contacted management. The property acknowledged the insects in writing but dismissed them as “not harmful” and “seasonal.” Guests should not be checking into a unit with insects throughout the space. The condition of the property suggested broader cleanliness issues: there were stained sheets, missing/loose bathroom tiles, duct tape around floorboards, and intermittent blackouts that repeatedly knocked out the lights and Wi-Fi. We have photos and written correspondence documenting the conditions. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

This place is excellent! The beds are very comfortable and the space is so cool with the jungle theme. The space is very clean and I felt welcomed. The communication with the team is absolutely great! I will be back in the future!

I had high hopes for this property. The pictures looked fabulous and we were super excited to stay the evening. Booking and everything was easy and quick. Although they like to send text and email wanting to add this and that for an extra charge and then add additional insurance for an extra charge or put a hold on your credit card. That was super annoying and I’ve never had to do that with any other rental I’ve done. Once we arrived parking was easy and the place looked really good. Upon entering the smell of sewer gas hits you in the face. And much to my surprise the pictures were nothing like the real place. No plants except cheap fake tiny tiny plants. There was one real plant. I took a picture and it was nothing like the photos on line. Furniture was super used and not very nice. Bathroom was ok but the whole place needed a deep down good cleaning. You can’t see out the windows from film of not being cleaned. Bed was comfort and pillows were great. To say the least I was let down by this stay. I wanted to try something different in Columbus than a hotel but I must say a hotel is for us. Wish I could have been more positive but for the amount paid not worth it.
