I enjoyed the venue, particularly the rooftop area, which is where I spent most of my evening. However, my experience took a turn when I went downstairs to play ping-pong for approx. an hour and found the rooftop had closed unexpectedly around 11:30 PM. To my surprise, my tab, which was still open on the rooftop, was closed out with an automatic gratuity of 25%.The website states that the rooftop closes at 12 AM and I never left the premises. While I understand automatic gratuity for tabs left open, this felt excessive considering the circumstances. I would recommend confirming the rooftop's closing time and tab policies to avoid similar issues. **Editing this from a 1 star to a 4 star because after contacting the restaurant, they have since apologized and refunded me.
This weekend I ordered a very simple order. Shrimp and Fries, and a Burger and Fries, bacon added. The shrimp came with no fries, the burger came with no bacon and it felt like it had been microwaved, and the fries I got with the burger were cold, soggy, and I barely even got any. It looked like they gave me the leftovers from another plate. Also the lettuce on my burger was old and wilted. I never write reviews but after calling they told me they would offer the refund and that the manager would call me. I waited the weekend, and no call. So here I am. Photo attached of the burger I got. I'll never order food here again.
Met up with friends for lunch. Food was good, but the standout was our server, Elisha. Absolutely a beautiful ray of sunshine and totally made the experience fantastic. We would absolutely come back the next time we are in town.
Baby them wings were top notch!! I passed this joint countless times even partied in the upstairs area when I first got here but had no idea they were serving wings from God! They let u mix the flavors, they were perfectly cooked. No batter no gooey stuff just amazing wings. Will def be going back and bringing my family cuz I know how much they love wings and they will enjoy them. I didn’t get a picture I was too busy stuffing my face
Excellent experience. Very chill environment to have a late bite. My s server Kaykay was amazing and super kind she was very patient and did great recommendations. Definitely a place to go
We went to the upper level bar. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon. The 4 bartenders were a "little" overwhelmed but it did get a lot better. We waited 10 minutes for our first beer but after that they were spot on. We actually got served by all 4. Anytime 1 of them noticed it was beer me up. A great group of people up there and the view is great.
Beautiful views, solid choice for Riverside for sure! Just beware of some of the "unsavory" characters that like to roam around the rooftop bar. Last time I was there, quite a few insanely drunk dudes being super obnoxious. Maybe cut them off when they can't form a single sentence? 🤷 Special shout out to the employee who let me use the staff elevator due to an ankle injury. 😉
My first visit and definitely not my last. The food was great as was the service. I love the vibe of the restaurant and layout of the restaurant is near perfect. I ordered the chicken donuts on a stick and a parfait. The food was well seasoned and the serving size was more than enough. I couldn't eat all of my food but it made great leftovers. I'm looking forward to another visit soon.
Started upstairs for drinks - ehh ok. Went downstairs to get food and ended up at the bar. Spenser was the BEST bar tender!!! My husband took me out for a kid free Mother's Day evening and it turned out better than I ever imagined thanks to Spenser’s amazing gin creations for me and bourbon creations for my husband!
So I have frequented Hoptinger a few times and they never disappoint. I have been to the roof top a few times and the bartenders are fantastic and I love the lounge ambiance and pool table they have up there. I also have been to the 1st floor and had dinner and their original beer cocktails and will also say that their food/drinks are delicious. I have yet to be on the second floor on a Friday/Saturday night, However, I do hope to go soon, because I hear that it gets pretty fun and wild on the weekends. Definitely a place that needs to be visited a few times in order to experience everything.
