It's vibey in here! A nice, mixed crowd and no wait for a table. Service was standard and the food was good. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering, especially for our party of 10. I ordered the hopsliders, which came with a fried chicken slider, beef with bacon slider, and chorizo slider. They were tasty, and filling. I also tasted the beer battered fried shrimp, which was crisp to perfection and had a homemade tartar sauce to go with it. The wet lemon pepper wings were a nice big size and tasty as well. For dessert, we had a warm chocolate lava cake with some vanilla ice cream, which was so rich and sweet. The restaurant is surrounded by other bars and restaurants, and parking might be a bit of a wait on a busy weekend night. We noticed a line of people start to form around 10-11 to go to the upstairs bar/club. There are other bars in the area, so if you're looking for dinner and a night of dancing this place and area might be good for you. I would recommend this place if you're wanting a yummy bite and some drinks before a night out.
Had an amazing experience at Hoptinger! The atmosphere was lively and our server Elisha was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Drinks were perfect. Kyle, the manager, checked in on us and made sure everything was running smoothly, which really showed how much the team cares about their guests. 100% recommend and will come back
My Rise & Shiner was delicious. The egg was perfectly fried with plenty of runniness to the yolk. It was so filling. The service was a bit slower than we liked but it was understandable due to the volume of customers in the restaurant. We had a fairly long wait on a Saturday night around 8:30pm for dine in. Server was kind and polite. She took very good care of us. The middle floor is a bit stuffy, but had great 90s-2000s music playing after a wedding let out. It gets warm in there with enough bodies. Top floor was more chill vibes with drinks and a really great and energetic bar staff. I went on a fairly good night for service or I got lucky, but I would highly recommend this for a night of variety and great food and drinks.
I’m amazed the prices here have stayed so good. Wife and i went in for burgers and fries. A little dissapointed they were out of tots. But hey, they're popular. Classic and smash burgers do not dissapoint. Kay Kay our server was gracious and enthusiastic. And she remembered what i drink from our last visit! Lively atmosphere and fun evening dining.
My wife and I visited Hoptingers a few weeks ago, and it was so awesome we remembered to leave a review weeks later. That itself is pretty darn incredible. Lani greeted us, and she was so friendly and radiant it was startling. She even strolled over again to check on things halfway through, which was lovely. Kay Kay was out waitress, and despite being super busy was 100% calm and focused on us as soon as she came to the table. We had a small hiccup that she fixed instantly, leaving us more impressed than if things had been 100% perfect. Even the food runner Lily was fantastic and checked on us afterwards and had great recommendations for next time. The manager checked on us also. It was never intrusive and they really cared about our experience. Oh, and the food was fantastic- We love the beach location, but this one is now the favorite.
The sixty-four beers on tap are the main attraction here. I really enjoyed studying the beer list. I ordered a flight of IPAs, and they were really excellent. The pricing was very good as well. I went in the next morning for breakfast, and was really looking forward to the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, I was not overly impressed. The chicken turned out to be small tenders and not a nice big piece, and the seasoning was way too spicy to go well with the sweet waffle. And they were overcooked. The waffle and syrup were nice, but the dish did not mesh well. This is a good place for trying new beers, but the menu needs some work.
We had such an amazing time at Hoptinger! We found our new fave hotspot… the service was amazing, the food and atmosphere were spectacular! my boyfriend and I were strolling down the street looking for a new place for our anniversary that we could call “our spot”, and as we were asking a total stranger for suggestions, another man, who turned out to be Chef Ron, pointed us in the direction of this establishment… we could not have been more surprisingly thrilled… We also had such an amazing experience with our waitress, Kaykay! We were greeted with such hospitality and The manager, Brennan, showed up at our table with delicious shots in honor of our special day! All in all, this was such an amazing experience and we will definitely be back many many times!! And we will be highly recommending this establishment to many other people! Sincerely, Amy and J-Rod
Life is fun at the Hoptinger Bier Garden & Rooftop. Both Austin and Bella ( who gives top tier one customer service ) made us feel like locals. I’m a big fan of the Riverside Sour Cocktail which is Dom Benedictine makers, mark lemon juice and a splash of grenadine. I will definitely be remaking this in our LA home. The pretzel bites are almost and something so cool. It’s just sitting underneath large fans and looking out across five points and the rest of Riverside, the Rooftop is amazing and I look forward to seeing the other two venues within this building but this one was worth the 250 steps vertically to get up thank you Bella. You’re an awesome server in this restaurant is so lucky to have your type of energy.
This place is pretty good.. The fried pickles were cooked a little to long and where very crispy almost to much… the Bacon Grinder burger was very good! The Mac and Cheese is amazing from here! We also got The Truth chicken wrap, It was ok wasn’t the best the chicken tenders had a gritty texture to them but overall was a good experience! We def will be coming back! The Server was super nice and helpful! 7.7/10 not a bad place
We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the food and staff. Lily is a great server, very friendly and attentive. The manager, Austin, was walking around wiping down tables and checking on guests. Everyone is very friendly, shout out to Larry in the Kitchen. The wife tried a flight based on Lily’s recommendations. Lily nailed the recommendations. The Chicago dog and pretzels were on point. We are passing through Jacksonville but will definitely come back anytime we are in town.
