Such a great place, and atmosphere when you enter. The draft board pulls you in to want to get a flight of the variety of beers. Great service for being busy. Had the brats in a blanket, a go to for sure. The beer cocktails, especially the Cats Tail was fantastic! 5/5
I enjoyed the venue, particularly the rooftop area, which is where I spent most of my evening. However, my experience took a turn when I went downstairs to play ping-pong for approx. an hour and found the rooftop had closed unexpectedly around 11:30 PM. To my surprise, my tab, which was still open on the rooftop, was closed out with an automatic gratuity of 25%.The website states that the rooftop closes at 12 AM and I never left the premises. While I understand automatic gratuity for tabs left open, this felt excessive considering the circumstances. I would recommend confirming the rooftop's closing time and tab policies to avoid similar issues. **Editing this from a 1 star to a 4 star because after contacting the restaurant, they have since apologized and refunded me.
Such a great place. We enjoyed the rooftop bar while waiting on our table. The beer selections and flights in the main restaurant is quite exquisite. The appetizers and staff was also great. They were out of schnitzel, which is what I came for, and I will be returning.
Not a beer drinker but I love good food and patronizing local spots. We started with the poutine.. It was outstanding.. Hot, fresh and delicious. Hubby ordered the Rocky Balboa burger, he didn't utter another word to me until he finished... That translates to it was fabulous. Not so.for my burger.. I took a chance and ordered the roulette burger medium well.. The burger had an awesome flavor but was overcooked. The manager came and was very gracious and made it correct. Nice little spot for good food and drinks with friends!
My wife and I stopped there for dinner on a Thursday night. It wasn't very crowded, and the noise level was tolerable. The restaurant is mostly high tables, but there are some low tables and couches for group gatherings near the front. They open the large front windows to let the fresh air in when it is available. It was a bit chilly (for Florida) that night, and they very graciously moved us to a table further in. There are a lot of food choices on the menu from knife and fork meals to a great selection of burgers and other sandwiches. The burger I had was the Bacon Grinder. The Mac and Cheese that was on it actually had some flavor (other places I've tried this, it is usually bland). The fries were very nice and crispy. My Wife's bacon wrapped chicken was very good also. the mash potatoes were good, but could use a little "something" else. Maybe some garlic butter. Overall, it looks like a great place to hang out with friends and spend the evening talking and drinking. I didn't partake, but it looks like they have a great beer selection on the wall. Parking is parking in this area, not the restaurants fault, just be ready to park a bit away and walk. It is a nice area, so the walk isn't that bad.
I want to hear the other day with my brother and his girlfriend for some food and drinks he frequents the hoptinger in five points since he lives in oakleaf and we were pleasantly surprised when he could get the same specials and regular options at that location that he could at the beach I also was not drinking and was ordering Waters and after my second refill the bartender end it up feeling me a big beer stein with water which I really appreciate it and thought it was equally as funny as considerate my brother and his girlfriend had a great time got the same type of food and service that they usually get the other location and definitely would come back.!!!
We were looking for a rooftop bar to hang out while in Jacksonville and this place was recommended. The rooftop is spacious, with lots of places to sit, around fireplace or tables or oversized chairs. Unfortunately it was way too hot to sit outside at the rooftop bar, even with fans around bar area, so we grabbed appetizers and drinks downstairs. There is also 2nd floor bar/club that opens at 6 pm. The food was good, the service was kind of slow. The staircase is so long to the rooftop and it's dark, I honestly don't know how people manage to walk down the stairs after partying on the rooftop 😬 I think it's a fun place to hang out. We had dinner reservations, so we left before the 2nd story bar opened.
Definitely coming back again! You will love having Hannah as your server. She’s awesome. My husband and I ordered burgers and he ordered a roulette burger and informed them no tomatoes but didn’t realize they would cook mushrooms and he can’t eat it. We felt bad but they were very sweet and brought out a different burger for him. He loved his burger. I ordered a custom burger since I’m gluten free- sunny side up egg, bacon, cheese burger with bbq sauce (lettuce wrap). Very good! And their tater tots are good too! Like I said, we’ll definitely be coming back again! 🙌🏻
Great place, plenty of TVs. The food was excellent it could have come out hotter but it was a busy day. It was not cold but not hot. We loved everything we had and prices were very reasonable. My son just moved into the area and sure it will be a regular spot.
Amazing burger, hummus and salad! You have to stop by and eat & drink…Elisha was an amazing server :) Great service and atmosphere. Thanks for making our Jacksonville experience enjoyable!
