We had an amazing time on a Whale watching cruise on January 14th. We quickly spotted a number of spouts and that's when the fun began. We followed around 5 grey whales for about an hour before we had to head back to the harbor. They put on a great show with their tail flukes and spouts. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the whales as well as all of the military vessels and aircraft that we saw. I would definitely book with them again.
I had a great time whale watching! We saw a group of 4 whales! It gets chilly in the middle of the Pacific Ocean so bundle up! The entire cruise was a great experience because I enjoyed looking back at the city , passing the naval base and watching the helicopters take off, passing Point Loma and then getting to catch the whales traveling as they head to Mexico. It was so beautiful! This is a great solo, group, family or couple activity. Although it is not guaranteed to see whales they do their best to find some for the group. They also sell snacks, sandwiches and drinks on the boat. The tour is about 4 hours so plan accordingly. I got chilly at the top after seeing the whales so I ended up going down into the boat to sit inside so I could get out of the wind. The view below is also just as great.
Highly recommend!! The staff is very kind and knowledgeable! They do an amazing job at locating wildlife. During our three hour trip we saw many whales and hundreds of dolphins. For the price and experience we had to give it a 10/10. Would recommend a hundred times over!!
Honored their guarantee... It is not the most stable boat, heed their advice, if you are prone to motion sickness, I strongly recommend taking something for it. They also sell Dramamine on board, for a very reasonable cost. While we did not see any large whales on our trip we did see a number of dolphins. In addition they honored their guarantee and gave us a free pass to return and try again. The staff were very courteous. I would definitely try them again even if they didn't give us a bounce back pass for not seeing whales.
Went on the whale watching boat ride and saw no whales. They were nice enough to give everyone rain checks. Staff wasn't very friendly. Bartender was very slow. We did this boat ride March 20, 2026. The water was very calm on the ocean. Nice relaxing boat cruise. We saw about 10 dolphins and a couple sea lions.
Great tour of the harbor, learned history of the harbor and was able to see tons of things from the water you wouldn’t experience from land. We had a beautiful day to be on top deck, but lots of seats inside on lower deck. Snacks and beverages available to purchase.
$42 for 2 hr cruise 🛳 of San Diego Bay. Great experience. Rusty is a great narrator. Well worth your time and money. Great scenery and naval 🚢 ships for pictures. Friendly staff.
Had the best time on the 3 hour whale watching tour ! The narrator/naturalist was absolutely amazing! She shared lots of fun facts and was very friendly. She kept an eye out on the water and let us know when there was wildlife nearby ! Such a wonderful ride! We did not see any whales , but lots of dolphins and sea lions . They gave us a rain check ticket even though it was not necessary as The trip was still wonderful and more than worth it . They had a full stocked bar with snacks and treats. I was able to grab a hot coffee and thankfully Dramamine!! The bartender was friendly . The staff was all very helpful even checking on guests to make sure they were ok when the boat got rocky. Highly recommend this excursion while you’re in San Diego!

The vessel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the crew was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the trip. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local looking to see San Diego from a different perspective, Flagship Cruises is a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it and would gladly book another cruise on my next visit.
Had an excellent experience on the Flagship Champagne Brunch Cruise in San Diego. The views of the skyline and harbor were beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed the entire trip. The brunch setup was well done with plenty of options, and the champagne definitely kept the vibes flowing. Perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon with your significant other. Between the scenery, smooth ride, and overall experience, it felt like a mini vacation right in San Diego. Highly recommended for couples looking for something different and memorable.
