Enzo

Disappointed and had been looking forward to this opening for awhile. No happy hour, limited white wine selection, higher wine prices relative to similar brand wine selections in the river market & crossroads areas. Spent $130 for 2pp - lowest price wine, a cold dip and small bowl of soup. Menu felt a bit conflicted, trying to find its place yet, so I just tried two things - a “spicy” feta cold dip which didn’t seem spicy at all for that lead the menu naming and the avgolemono soup which didn’t have much flavor (I kept adding pepper and salt) and only 1 small piece of chicken. Asked for crostinis to go with the soup, add on charge.

One of my favorite spots in the City Market. Great dining area, great food, great people. You will drink 5 lemon slushes on the patio and then fail to stand up, and that’s how it should be. Also make sure you get an almond cookie on the way out. Chefs kiss

Enzo has become our favorite River Market weekend dining spot. The staff, ambience, food and Happy Hour specials are fantastic. Our go to server is Riley. Extremely knowledgeable about wine/food pairings, daily specials with an outgoing, fun personality. Enzo's HH drink prices are from the 1980s. A vodka/soda for $4.50? Very nice wines from $6-$8/glass...the shareable starters are imaginative and varied. The Italian dishes are along the lines of Garozzo's and will definitely feed 2 people. The Branzino fish entree is amazing. During spring/summer/fall, their outdoor seating is shaded and comfortable. The clientele is as diverse as you'd find at Harry's or Muni, and you'll be immersed in groups of young, old, dressed up, dressed down...a cross section of KC. Easy parking in the market lot (free). The bar area is very cool if you want to have a drink before heading to a Current game. The combination of food/service/ambience/convenience/prices and imaginative drink/food menus can't believe topped. This is a relatively unknown KCMO gem. You won't regret giving them a shot if you're looking for something different than the chains or bars or expensive Plaza spots. Fun neighborhood with lots to do within walking distance.

Oh my gosh, my lady and I loved it here! It was my first time and I was amazed by how friendly the workers are! Our waitress Vitalia was so adorable and had the cutest wine earrings on! The lady manager who greets you upon walking in set the tone for the entire dining experience. Such a sweet lady! Can’t forget the best cook in the back Vee. She makes the BEST food you’ll ever eat. Food was delicious and my mimosa was chefs kiss. Outside seating is a must during these pretty days

This place deserves more recognition!! Enzo is one of my new favorite restaurants in KC. I have been on multiple different occasions and each visit has been consistently amazing! 10/10

First visit to Enzo KCMO on Saturday and what a great experience we had. The bartender, Bert was fantastic, some of the best handcrafted cocktails we've had. Chef V worked her magic with the most amazing Chicken Piccata, Eggplant Frites and Tiramisu Cannolis. We enjoyed our conversation with Grant (owner )who took time to make sure we were well taken care of. Overall this was a fantastic vibe along with amazing food and reasonable prices right down in the heart of the city market.. 👍🥂❤️

The food at this restaurant is always on point, took my mother here and she loved it.

Great location and nice atmosphere. We were sat in a corner that had a nice window view, but no light over the table so a little dark still. I had the Barone Montalto Cabernet Sauvignon which was very nice and smooth. To start, we had the arancini. Visually beautiful, not as crispy as we would have liked, but pretty good. I *loved* the Moussaka. Cooked perfectly and great flavor. My wife had the herb roasted chicken. Visually nice and the cook on the skin was great, but the chicken was a little on the dry side and not a lot of flavor. The risotto with it was good. Service was very friendly and helpful. A little slow but it was a busy Saturday night.

First off, I appreciate that this place is dog friendly! 🐕🐶We could sit outside and it was super nice. They also had a live band, which actually you couldn’t even hear if you were sitting far away from them which was nice because it was like light background music! 🎶 🎤 Food wise I got the spaghetti with meatballs and wow the meatballs were fantastic! I was impressed. I was not expecting them to be that good! 🍝👍 My friend got the Caesar salad, which had one anchovy in it, which was kind of gross tbh lol like why are we putting anchovies in salad?!🐟 🥗 Odd choice. However the rest of the salad tasted great! We also got the burrata appetizer which was pretty decent but it came with like twice as much cheese as bread sticks so we were able to ask for more sticks but would prefer it just came with more in general because there is a lottttt of cheese! 🧀 Finally we got the flourless chocolate cake which we were slightly disappointed with only because it was hard as a rock. Usually those are a little more airy. 🍰 Overall, nice vibe and solid place!

I have now dined there two times--once on opening night (December 13) and December 30. The pictures are from both nights. First, the atmosphere. Both nights it was packed, which I was pleased to see. River Market desperately needs more sit down dining options that stay open past 7 and I think the busyness is an indicator that people are ready! I sat at the bar both nights and found the service to be quite attentive, if not a bit rushed. The drinks--a decent selection of beer, but nothing that you can't find elsewhere in the city. Peroni, High Life, several Boulevard selections, as well as a Martin City and like one other local. Hamm's in a can, too. The wine selection is what really disappointed me. This place was marketed as a wine bar, but the wine selection is nothing to write home about. There are several restaurants that come to mind in town that don't call themselves a wine bar but have much more in the way of wine. I think the alcohol selection leaves a bit to be desired and maybe they'll expand their offerings as they find their footing. The food--ok, so I've had the calamari, the lamb meatballs, the eggplant fries, the moussaka, the greek salad, the grilled hangar steak, the spaghetti and meatballs, and three of the desserts (donuts, cheesecake, and chocolate torte). The calamari is fantastic, the batter is nice and light and the sauces are divine. We eat at Brown and Loe all the time and love their calamari but I think Enzo's has the edge. Eggplant fries were a bit greasy, but was easily the biggest portion of anything I've had here. The flavor was nice but they kind of fell flat for me. The Moussaka is amazing and is hands down the best thing on the menu I've had so far. The portion is just right, as it is extremely rich and decadent. I cannot say enough good things about this dish. I need to work my way through the rest of the menu so I won't be ordering it again soon, but this is something I would come back specifically for. The Greek salad is aight. Unless you just have a craving for a Greek salad, I would not say this is a must order. I did like the olives that came with the salad though. The meatballs are good, but the portion is small. For $12, I would expect at least another meatball. I wouldn't order them again. The steak is tasty, though a small portion. The spaghetti and meatballs was a familiar Ragazza vibe. Good, but I'm at Enzo to eat Enzo specific dishes. I understand that part of the plan was to offer some Ragazza favorites. The donuts are *chef's kiss.* Warm and sitting on top of lemon curd. When the bartender said lemon curd, I was sold. I love anything lemon curd. I'm not sure if they make the cheesecake in house. It came with raspberry coulis on top and was my least favorite. And finally, the flourless chocolate torte was pretty good, extremely rich. I couldn't finish all of it. My 3 star rating is probably more like a 3.5. I don't know that I would go out of my way to come back, unless it was for the moussaka. I think some tweaks to either the portions or prices would go a long way for me to feel value. I don't mind paying a pretty penny if the food I'm receiving is also top notch. I feel like Enzo is still trying to find its footing and I really hope it does! I live very close by and would love to become a regular patron, it's just not hitting the mark for me now.
