10/26: the patient portal login does not work and there is no customer service to take care of this. Changing this review to 1 star. Will put ZERO if I could. I tried twice since there were so many great reviews. The virtual appointment setup was easy until I checked in and had to wait 25 minutes to see the doctor. And I honestly wasn't fan of how the appointments went and how this doctor communicated with me.
Dr. Sims is great at explaining and solving health issues. She’s fun and interactive! Very pleased to have her input as my Doctor.
I had my first in patient visit with Dr. Kourtney. Instructions were very clear during the exam and she was gentle during the entire process. The visit was faster than I would have anticipated with no wait times as appointment was late in the afternoon. I was provided with information as to when I could expect results.
Was a great visit, very helpful and quick. Thank you! EDIT 6/5/19: I came back for my second visit today for a 11:10 appointment and as of 12:50 (ONE HOUR AND A HALF+) I still have not been seen nor acknowledged despite checking-in. I specifically picked 11:10 as I wanted enough time to return to work before a meeting. It is apparently just Dr. Sims in the office so no nurses or techs who could head-start my appointment, and I’ve not received any word of apology or acknowledgement for this extreme delay. Other patient in lobby with 11:50 appt also still waiting for over an hour. Extremely disappointed.
This was my third appointment with Dr. Sims. Was hoping to have some answers by now but I was reminded that this process is long, and I need to be patient and take it one step at a time. Solving gut issues and inflammation can't be done in one month it may take longer. Appreciate Dr. Sims for her explanation an encouragement to continue with this corrective path.
I'm excited to work with Dr. Sims. We are taking a holistic approach and looking at all facets of my life... medical history, lifestyle, environment... to find the optimal range for myself and my hormones. As someone who has had doctors (retired) in the past that took this approach, it is refreshing to find it again and treat me as a person.
Just my first (virtual) visit. Process is a bit lengthy with all of the forms and the multiple apps, i think there's like 3?(athena, better help, and crossroads website) Just a little overwhelming for me. I know im very fortunate to be able to access this type of care, but thinking of health equity and my specific diagnosis the cost of this care is very significant even with insurance. Other than that my visit with Dr. Sims was great.
Dr. Sims is very personable and knowledgeable. I am looking forward to working with her on a plan that will get me to the most optimum level of health.
My experience with Dr Sims has been fantastic! She listens to my concerns, she explains options, and she is works WITH me once I make a decision.
If I could give this practice no stars I would. I’ll say this 1 star is for “trying” This office, while Kourtney was nice. Was very very inattentive. With appointments, questions, even down right to making sure my insurance would cover their visit. I had a consultation with Kourtney in February. My initial appointment was for May (for some reason she had open availability for virtual appts but none in person, weird thing to prioritize ) A few weeks later I get a bill. Stating I owe them $600 and something dollars. Okay. Weird. You never told me you didn’t take my insurance. But then it’s lead up to “well it requires a referral”, so I submitted my plans coverage stating that OBGYN visits do not indeed require one (referrals for this type of visit are not needed because this is considered a pcp for annual exams) . I have called numerous times at this point, I’ve sent emails. Not a single person has gotten back to me. Until I get a nice collections notice in the mail, that Kourtney and her office put me into. I’m confused, I’ve sent you all of the given information needed…. But now I’m curious as to if they even took my insurance…. They never told me no. They never said it was an issue. They even asked if I was self pay and I very much declined.. The lack of intelligence, communication, and simple customer service of this practice is disgusting. The fact I’ve called and contacted numerous times about this manner with no response says a lot. BEWARE. Maybe this office isn’t doing well business wise with their group therapy and discussions they try to push you into, so this is another option. But it’s not working. And it just makes them look bad.
