My visit with Dr. Sims is EXACTLY what I've been looking for for the past 20 years! She listened to my whole medical story and did not seem rushed or impatient. She then explained what she thought was going on with me, what tests she'd need to do, and what the process will most likely look like in future months. She didn't immediately try force me into pharmaceuticals and surgeries. She seems extremely knowledgeable, not only in traditional medicine, but also in the holistic approach as well. I love how well she listened to me, and I appreciated her very thorough explanation of what my journey will look like under her care. I'm excited to move forward with her!

I had an initial consultation with Dr. Kourtney Sims and found her to be very friendly, upbeat, pleasant and I'm feeling good about moving forward to work with her as my doctor because her approach appears to be very detailed and thorough, supportive and collaborative, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I would give five stars for the direct face-to-face service, but I gave four stars just from a practical and convenience/ease perspective, which is two-part. One is because I found the initial paperwork and onboarding process to be very overwhelming compared to my previous experiences onboarding as a new patient with other doctors in the past, but that's fine. Second, it's stated in the paperwork that one may need to plan on waiting up to 2 hours past your scheduled appointment time in order to be seen, due to the sheer volume of patients and the time that's required to offer each one great service. I actually greatly respect the dedication, but that made it very challenging and a bit stressful to plan the rest of my workday, as my appointment started an hour and 10 minutes later than my scheduled time. I came close to having to reschedule for running out of time to be seen for my appointment, but I was afraid I'd be charged for the cost of the session because the paperwork indicated this as a possibility. I don't know if running so far behind is a regular occurrence, but that may pose a practical challenge in the future. I hope not though, because I really did enjoy the initial consultation and do look forward to working with Dr. Sims otherwise.

This was my very first visit to Crossroads OBGYN. Parking was a breeze in the garage with valet and I especially love the online check-in process because once I arrived to her office she was ready for me. Dr. Sims is extremely sweet, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. No one is a stranger to her. I enjoyed our conversation because it helped to calm my nervousness. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. She is very thorough and it felt nice having someone show a genuine interest in my concerns. She has definitely gained herself a long term patient and I highly recommend her. I also no longer dread going to the Gyno thanks to her! 😊
Today on my first appointment, Dr. Sims greeted me with a smile. She listened attentively as I explained the issue that brought me to her. She proceeded to explain her recommended course of action. I'm optimistic that she will help me find a solution. It was quite a process to have this appointment, but her staff was there to reassure me it was possible. I'm particularly thankful that they checked and double-checked my insurance for correct codes and referral authorizations.
