I have had the pleasure of working with Doug Dodd for several years back in Florida. He mentored me and then later on my brother. He is an amazing carpenter and takes pride in his work. When he builds something he builds it right. I still call him for advice when I have a question on the best way to build a structure. He is a great carpenter, a great mentor and even a better friend. I've seen a lot of things built over the years and there are few people left that build things with the quality that Doug does.
Dodd Construction and his crew are very skilled and versatile. They hold themselves to high standards of workmanship and attention to detail. Responsive to every phone call, text and email. Very happy with our full kitchen/first floor remodel. We highly recommend Doug and his team for any job!

Doug and the team at Dodd Construction helped us replace an original deck that has been causing significant issues to the home. From assisting with planning and engineering designs, through to accomplishing the work, Dodd Construction was always meticulous, considerate, and thorough. Our project had a number of curveballs that Doug and the team were able to overcome, always keeping us in the loop as to what was happening and providing accurate estimates when additional work was presented. Doug and his team recently did a major remodel of my house. Doug was very good about helping shape the project from the very beginning with his expertise and know-how. He has a pride in quality and ensured his team was not cutting corners or doing a sub-par job. He even worked with us when we were overseas at the end and was great at communicating updates along the way. We are extremely happy with the results and would recommend him to anyone.
If you’re looking for a reliable and competent contractor, I recommend Dodd Construction. Doug and his crews tackled two problems for us. His concrete crew replaced a large section of the base of our front porch. It looks great. They worked efficiently under Doug‘s direction and cleaned everything up before they left. We also had Doug deal with a large crack repair in our cathedral ceiling. His painters were very particular about protecting our furniture, floors, and anything that wasn’t involved in the section of the house they were painting. They took on a difficult job and handled it thoughtfully and professionally. Doug personally oversees each project before, during and after. I wouldn’t hesitate to call on him again if the need arises.
Dodd Construction just finished another project for me. They originally completed my master bath remodel last spring, I was impressed with their work so hired them again this summer to revamp my living room fireplace as well as numerous other improvements including painting my kitchen, replacing all my interior doors as well as changing out all of my electrical sockets and light switches. Since I have numerous home improvements I want to do Mr. Dodd worked with me to figure out which improvements fit within my current budget. I will definitely hire them again when I decide to complete my next round of improvements.
