Favorite coffee place in town. Espresso is delicious and the vibe inside the cafe is industrial and decidedly not “made for” instagram nor tiktok but plenty big and comfortable for relaxing, working and vibing.
They only offer pour over coffee. And it is great. Went back twice on a four day trip and if you know Portland there are a lot of great coffee places. The space is fantastic as well.
Came here and got the Kilenso pourover. Was very good - coffee had some unique flavour profiles and no bitterness which was different. As others have mentioned, it's in a interesting space that looks like a wood/bamboo workshop. Could probably seat more people if they tried but I get that would change the vibe as well
The best espresso in Portland, maybe the best anywhere. They had two options for espresso beans when I was there and I got the dark chocolatey inspired Morro dos Padeiros (Brazil). The other was a dark and fruity inspired espresso bean. They don't offer flavors other than honey or vanilla for sweetness but that's okay. Any other flavor would have muddied the pure, smooth espresso. Alternative milks were explained, I got oat milk. For my espresso they pulled it like a ristretto.
The coffee shop that you would want to go first thing in the morning. Even just a short stop before head to airport. Enjoyed that stay and the moment in store. Great atmosphere and great coffee of course. Remark the place should visit again. See you next time.
I saw a review that they have Nitro Cold Brew. They do not have it. I got regular cold brew. The lid did not stay on tightly and dripped on me. Atmosphere is cool though.
Popular and trendy atmosphere. Seemingly good bike stop :) Friendly and helpful staff. Quick (but not too quick) service. Great selection of popular coffee drinks, in artisan style. . Only negative thought is that my coffee was bitter, or more bitter than I was expecting. I chose their El Salvador Sofia blend. Boasted Rich Chocolatey flavors and it seemed fruitier and not very smooth. I'm no coffee expert so take this with a grain of salt. My friend ordered a cappuccino and enjoyed that very much.
It looks like a very good place. While I haven't sat down or had the coffee, sometimes they leave their old pastries out for the homeless and they were very good.
I spent the better part of a Saturday afternoon in a work call here. No one bothered me and I had good connectivity. The WiFi was free and tables were comfortable enough with lots of outlets and room to spread out. The entire venue is wheelchair accessible, however the bathroom doors are quite heavy so be warned. Street parking only. Indoor and limited outdoor seating.
This shop has a really cool space, lots of room for big tables and little counters to lean on. Add for the coffee, I'd say it was good but not my top in Portland. My cortado had excellent espresso but the milk was steamed just a little thin, and it was a larger size than I'd prefer for a cortado. Despite that, it was still pretty solid. The drip coffee was definitely tasty, I can appreciate the attention that goes into roasting. I'd recommend!
