City Thrift

Best thrift in town! Spend some time here and you will undoubtedly find some gems for reasonable prices.

I frequent this location on Summer Avenue I spent a lot of time at these thrift store type environments and Goodwill and Salvation Army in so on primarily because of the financial instability of our country but thrift store usually has a very decent amount up close primarily is the reason for me shopping there I got several decent pair of Levi's and several long sleeve long sleeve jersey shirts it's getting that time of year it's been a whopping $25 and came out with two pair of pants three shirts you can't beat that and they're in very good condition you never know from week to week day today what you're going to find there so stop being they were several they were very busy today good for them

I got a lot of nice suff from there and they have a good selection of items. Cute jewelry, great shirts and sweaters , nice jeans. Not to mention good prices and discounts ,totally worth it🤗🤗🤗

The clothes selections are great and prices are fair. The nick-nacks are ok the electronics and furniture is scarce and dated but the cashiers are HORRIBLY BOTTOM LOW MEAND AND RUDE FOR NO REASON!! barely even lookup at you like you ain’t even there, likes it’s your fault they work there... Other than that it’s a nice place

Don’t shop here, they don’t test their products. They sold me a VHS player that didn’t work and chewed up a tape of mine I was trying to convert that had sentimental value. When I came to return it they said they could not issue returns and that I should come back and ask the manager to approve one. This guy must work bankers hours because I came back three times when he was supposed to be there and he never was. Avoid this dumpster diving scam of a store if you can.

Very VERY expensive for a thrift store. Was visiting Memphis and came here to take a look. Shocked at the prices for basic clothing (Cat and Jack, Walmart etc)

They truly suck, and work at it. Horrible, yelled at by manager and angry cashier. When I asked for the telephone number of the Birmingham Offices, I was told "You gonna haf to fo get dat choe sef, I ain't gotz it and I ain't gonna give it to you".The item had $2.00 on the front, and they wanted 4.95 for it. You cannot have a large sticker on the front and charge different. The first cashier was nice, but extremely rough around the social skill edges. The lady running the counter on the corner by the door was rude, pushy, actually violated several federal laws over which City Thrift could be sued and loose over. She was not solution oriented, was speaking to me swinging her neck and head trying to intimidate me, This is not the first time I have tried to give them my business. They screwed it up the other times as well There was a crock pot that had the power chord cut off. I did not notice it after ringing iy up and before paying. When I politely shared that it was not sellable I was told that it had already been rung up and could not be taken off. So, they lost the entire 85.00 sale because of an attitude then as well. Customer service is a great thing. It is rare to find a place that has excrement for service and service standards broken and dismantled products and workers that profane you as well. Sorry, but I am the customer. At least say "Hello, did you find what you needed today, ...thank you and come again". Sorry, this place is beyond belief, freaking beyond belief in its meanness, its attempt to scare and intimidate its customers and to sell them items that are broken. It might be good to note that you cannot return anything ever, with or without a receipt... ever. f you want an good thrift store, go to Summer, east of Highland. There are a load of them there. Leave these guys at City Thrift in Memphis alone. They are now bottom of my list and work to stay there.

This place is a run down dump. Its filthy, its nasty, the people here don't have a clue what they are doing nor do they care if your having trouble. The stuff they sell looks like leftover junk from a yard sale from a third world country. It smell like a truck stop toilet. Does this place even use the outrageous prices it uses on it products to even help vets? I'D RATHER A BUFFALO TAKE A DIARRHEA DUMP IN MY EAR! I'D RATHER EAT THE ROTTEN BUTT-HOLE OF A ROAD KILLED SKUNK AND THEN DOWN IT WITH A TALL GLASS OF ACID!! I'D RATHER HAVE MY GENITALIA CHEWED OFF BY A RABID RACCOON WHILE I AM STRAPPED TO A TREE COVER IN HONEY AND FIRE ANTS BITE MY EXPOSED SKIN!!! This is the worse place to shop, I say boycott it. Avoid it like avoiding the pits of hades. Avoid it as though it was a zombie. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Great clothes but worst employees on the planet. Rude and one even took clothes out my cart while I was in the dressing room. Salvation Army thrift stores are cleaner, better organized and have polite employees.

honestly, people! please donate to goodwill or salvation army. the prices at goodwill are so much better. City thrift is closer to me but their price is already high. I prefer to go to goodwill or salvation army. Whenever it is possible. I do donate to goodwill's donation drop off. which is closer to my house. City thrift did remodel and made it nicer looking and the up the prices as well. I recommend to not suppose these outrageous price. do not buy from them nor donate. You will over pay on everything. so save your money and go else where. Salvation army & Goodwill is the best!!!! =)
