This place is absolutely RIDICULOUS! First, there is no way to determine what you will owe bc if the anesthesiologist decides to show up as well as the nurse, you are charged double regardless if it’s a 5 minute procedure. This was frustrating but just the beginning of my experience with them. I started payment plan in March, got sent to collections anyway. I’ve been told 4 times by AMG (starting in April) they pulled it from collections and they did not. Collections confirms my account is still open with them. It’s now June, nothing is resolved. I’m just in limbo with no confirmation either way. I’ve left several messages with the “supervisor team” with no call returned and I’ve been on the phone for 3 hours today. I am a really nice person, but have had to act like a complete maniac to get these people to do their jobs. Please someone do something about this place!
The anesthetists of this group are superb. However, their billing group is HORRIBLE! The statements are never mailed. I have had 2 surgeries, 2019 and 2021. I only learned I owed on my 2021 surgery on 4/7/21 when I received a collection letter for my 2019 procedure balance!!! Really, is this efficient? Terrible management in the billing department. Oh, and their phone survey only allows the patient to select a favorable choice. When I selected 1 for "I am not satisfied my questions are not answered", the computer took me back to the prompt to select 1 or 2
My wife had issues where they failed to file with the correct insurance. My wife called many times to get it straightened out. They after getting many calls from us and they said they would not send it to collections. My wife got a call from collections. This company needs to figure out their stuff. This is a poor way to handle customer payments.
My wife had surgery in December of 2015. We got a $1400 bill from AMG along with $20k from other hospital services. We were making agreed to payments to them on time and paid over $900 until December 2017 when they sent us to collections. They claimed we only paid $700 and we never could get them to change the amount we owe. A year later we keep fighting this. They would have had their money by now if they were not a deplorable company. Liars and cheats. Avoid at all costs.
This company does a poor job of getting and filing your personal insurance information. They got a lawyer and filed suit for payment when all they had to do was file my insurance and they would have gotten paid. My insurance paid 100% to the hospital, the doctor, and all my physical therapy, and would have paid these people IF they would have filed their paperwork. You must call these people and give them the insurance information after your procedure is done. I will NEVER use this group again!
this company is horrible. I have been making $25 per month payments for quite awhile and my husband has so many bills and I realized I hadn't received 1 in awhile. I called today and they put us in collections without no notification. Not one person I talked to while making a payment told me I needed to be on a payment plan and I never received any notification that it was going to go into collections. negative 10 rating from me.
AMG does not care about their customers. They send surprise bills, make no apologies or genuine effort to resolve, falsely document interactions between themselves and the customer, and send claims to collections when they tell the customer they are working to resolve them. They blame the surgery center and the customer for their lack of communication. Reported to the better business bureau and now having to dispute the claim with the collections agency after spending 6 months trying to resolve with AMG. The CRNA in my experience was kind and professional.
After making a good faith payment, I never heard from them again until I recieved a letter from collections just 2 months later. They said because it was only a good faith payment they would not pull ig from collections. I also found out that the reason they didn't call me is because they didn't habe a phone number on file. Sounds to me like someone is lazy and wants as much money as possible for the least amount of work.
Amanda Williams was my anesthesiologist for an outpatient procedure I had recently. She was kind, knowledgeable, and competent. The procedure went well and I had no side effects or after effects. I recommend Amanda. I noticed there are a few negative reviews around this company, but most of them are related to billing and payments. I don't agree.
Avoid this company at all costs!!! They double billed my insurance for procedures, one provider said he was out of network when he was in network, they sent my balance to collections without even notifying me of said balances from over 5 years ago. It’s all a complete SCAM!! My insurance company advised never to use them again because they commit fraud on a regular basis!! Negative 100 stars!!
