Alamo Rent A Car

I used Alamo Rent A Car for more than 15 years, up to the date they never let me down. Always up or exceeded my expectations. If needed always get me upgraded without extra charge. That alone makes me confident to continue use their services. Lately used their “Skip the line” offer in Boston, MA and it was breeze. Super service. When they see me with the two pair of ski and 3 large suitcases - they bring me larger SUV. So if they continue to deliver good price with excellent service I going to use Alamo as my source of car rental. Like I said before I never had negative experience when rent cars from Alamo!

I've never had such a quick, efficient and friendly car rental experience! Walked into the rental area, up the kiosk, scanned my drivers license, reservation pulled up, grabbed the receipt, up the Alamo car area and was greeted by someone who took the receipt, asked which of the cars from the class I chose, and when pondering, the person said, well that one is a hybrid. Done and done! Not sure if it was always easy, or the World Cup brought a new sense of organization. But I don't know that I'll ever have such a great experience again. One can only hope!

We skipped the counter and went directly to our waiting representative in the parking garage. He escorted us to our choice of many vehicles lined up. We chose a suv and he offered to assisted in loading our luggage. We then drove out of the lot. If you have ever rented a vehicle at Logan and have had to wait in line at the counter, and the hassles that followed, well you know what I mean! Alamo has figured out the whole process, from pick up to return, a seamless process! I will continue to utilize Alamo for all my future car rental needs, pricing and ease of use is second to none! Five star plus rating for sure.

Alamo had the lowest price on the vehicle that I needed for my New England vacation. Everything was clean. Check-in was smooth. They didn't have the specific vehicle that I reserved, but I understood that it could be a like crossover and the Nissan Pathfinder performed well.

Decent check in at the counter. The shuttle from the airport terminal to the lot was great. The car was rushed through their clean up process prior to us picking it up and the gentleman handing over the key to us was cleaning something up on the outside of the car while we were getting ready to go. Turned out that it was vomit from the previous renter. When we got to our rental property I discovered it was all over the inside of the rear door panel. Totally unacceptable. Alamo should slow down and properly inspect each vehicle before each rental.

I have automatically rented from Hertz as a Gold Member for the last 30 years. On this trip I found that the price for Alamo was $160 less for the same week--so I went ahead and did it. I was easy to pay ahead just the day before. When I arrived at the car rental center at Logan, I was greeted at Alamo by two young people who just asked to see my email confirming my car, and then one of the actually took my suitcase and went with me to pick up a car. When I got in the car, my CarPlay would not sync, and it turned out that the particular car did not have car play. I got out of the car and asked another young person passing by about the car play. She stopped, and told me that the car wouldn't take car play and said "Let's find one that you like that will." She walked me over to Mazda CX-50 with car play, helped me move my luggage, and then got in the passenger seat and made sure that I could sync my car play before she got out. Checking out was easy, and the return process was smooth as well. This was concierge service at really affordable prices. I could not be happier and will definitely rent from Alamo on my next trip.

I used Costco to reserve the car, which did seem like the best deal on pricing. Alamo does have a service where you can skip the counter, which I did via my phone. However, it seems like everyone was getting the same type of car as me (medium sized SUV), and Alamo did not have any in the lot, so I ended up waiting in line anyway for them to bring up a car. Also, after I got my car, I was blocked in by someone pulling out and leaving their car in front of mine with no one from Alamo directing them to move out of the way. Otherwise, the car was in good condition and ran well. If the process of getting the car was smoother -- this would have been a 5 star review -- but expectations were set and not met.

Excellent online check-in and a quick processing at Boston airport with a brand new car was the start of a very smooth experience. Our return was also seamless, the staff were also considerate of our situation having lost luggage and needing to leave damaged cases in the car. We’ve not had our toll fees through yet, but this car rental experience was up there with the best of our experiences over the last 20 years - the value for money was outstanding which was the icing on the cake.

Boston Logan is a busy airport, however my Alamo experience was one of the best rentals ever. Online messages directed me to go directly to the Alamo car area. There, I was met by attendants who checked my reservation for type of car, then directed me to choose from several newly washed SUVs. We picked out car and we were off! The Jeep Compass worked well, and return at 4:45 am was quick and easy.

Renting a car from Alamo in Boston turned out to be the most pleasant experience with an agency ever. It was easy to reserve on line and the line was very short when we arrived. Mary Ann was welcoming, warm and professional in getting us set up in half the time it usually takes. The car was clean and met our needs. The only 2 glitches we had were with the signage to get to the counter (right side elevator directed us to the 3rd level instead of 2nd) and email/text communications. Their system picked up my husband's information even though I had put my own in at time of reservation. He was not with me and doesn't check his email often so I didn't get some of the communication I should have received in a timely manner.
