Excellent espresso drink, friendly barista, cool vibe.
The aroma and atmosphere of this place early in the morning really was a pleasant way to start my morning. The owner seemed like a very chill guy and easy to talk to. Also that latte was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Great coffee and fun pastry options too. It's nice when the coffee is the star. Purchased some coffee to gift as well!

I've been trying different coffee shops around Kansas City past month looking for the best, chai and this one was pretty great.
Hands down the best coffee I’ve had in my life. Brian Denman had the best customer service skills I’ve ever encountered. He was getting ready to close as we were walking up, and he kindly offered to make us two coffees even though it was past closing time. Seriously cannot express how awesome this place is. Everyone needs to check it out! Butterscotch latte is incredible!
Great coffee, and wonderful service. A lovely honey latte today, and I’ve had many delicious Breves here. The pastries are a definite must also! I think Sunday hours are a new thing, so I can get coffee on my way to watch early morning soccer!
I'm done with Starbucks!!! This is my new FAVORITIST place to be!!!! Fabulous coffee, peaceful, and absolutely EXCELLENT customer service!!! I stopped into Waterbird Coffee in downtown KC and ordered a brown sugar cinnamon latte, and it was absolutely delicious, especially on a cold day. The balance of sweetness and warm spice was spot on, and the espresso flavor still came through nicely in every sip. The cafe itself has a warm, inviting vibe that makes it an ideal spot to thaw out and relax for a bit. 5/5 and highly recommend making a stop here for a comforting cup of coffee—get the brown sugar cinnamon latte if you need something cozy and satisfying.
I'm still dreaming of the spiced apple latte I ordered Waterbird. We were visiting KC for a wedding and this coffee shop became our daily pit stop. Amazing service and the perfect latte!
