Topo Designs Flagship Store

Recently discovered this quirky little brand about a month ago or so. I finally had a moment to actually walk into one of their stores. Alex was more than welcoming and gave excellent customer service. I picked up a pair of denim pants and a wallet. He was so epically awesome, that he offered a coconut water for hydration and gave me an enamel pin along with my purchase. (Give this man a raise!) lol I would highly recommend this store if you're looking for some super comfy clothing, vivid and rad backpacks, and/or artfully created accessory options to spruce up your chill clothing game. If you're into light hiking, wall climbing, etc...this is your brand to stand out to be functional and stylish. Great colors, designs, ethos and people.

Two months in on a commuter briefcase with the blue cordura and leather trim. Love the look and love the functionality. Multiple options to wear it was a huge sell and give the bag so much versatility. If I were to do it again, might have gone with the slightly larger Mountain bag. Made in America, which was a big sell for me. Last thing, the dude told me the bag has a lifetime guarantee but based on the quality construction of the product I don't see any way I'll need to take advantage of that.

Awesome company with killer products. Shout out to the friendly staff at their flagship location and store manager, Alex, for chatting and going out of his way to exchange a product for me. Though I live in North Carolina, I will continue to buy and recommend Topo Designs.

I purchased two of the waffle long sleeve shirts, one olive and one "natural", and both shirts were cut different. What I mean is that the body and sleeves on the natural are a full 1-2 inches smaller than the olive one. The sleeves are supposed to be 35.25" from center back neck and are 34" barely. I've done two exchanges in hopes of getting two shirts that are the same size, but this is apparently impossible. Their customer service on the issue has been lackluster to say the least and they fully intend to sell shirts they know are out of spec. For a company that "prides it's self on quality" and charges $80 for a thermal shirt it's pretty unacceptable.

I love the idea of this brand & I believe we need more locally made products, so i was really disappointed when i bought the Topo Mountain Jacket for a ski trip to A-basin & Keystone this week. Sadly after only 2 days on the mountain i already see serious signs of wear with the stitching coming out in a few places. The staff are great at the shop & i hope that when i visit the store tomorrow that Topo will stand by there gear & i can stay a loyal customer. So i just got back from the store & they refunded me the full amount , they also offered me other similar jacket options or the possibility to have the jacket restitched. also with the new model jackets it seems that Topo has answered & fixed some of the longevity issues with the old models & i hope to see better & better quality stuff coming out in the future. thanks guys! So the issues continue with Topo as after 2 full weeks i finally got an email back from customer service, even though i already visited the flagship store on the 3rd of February dropping off my defective jacket & being told i would get a full refund to my card. As of now i have still not gotten a refund & now by email i was offered a partial gift card. not cool guys. Like way too many things/brands these days it seems Topo is all about marketing & not so much about the customer or the quality of the product.

Every time I'm in the area I like to see what they are cooking up at Topo. Sometimes they have a cool bag, pouch, or shirt. I really like the colors and the service is pretty great. Aside from the price, I love the small store front. It's in the Rhino district, so make sure to walk down the street and check out all the cool wall art and stop at the market for a bite afterward.

Great bags, great deals if you come visit the right time of year. I have had a bag for about a year, the bag did have a design flaw but after contacting customer service they fixed it. I mailed it in and they sent it back repaired.

I walked into the store aiming to buy a Klettersack backpack that I had had my eye on for awhile albeit only online and had not tried it on. The store employee told it to me straight that the bag I wanted wasn't the best for what I had in mind for it and she was totally right once I tried it on. That bag wouldn't be the best as a long hike pack as its not that comfortable. I ended up getting the Rover Pack as a city-life-day pack and love it. Really appreciated the honesty and I ended up way happier as a result.

I saw a review that the bashed the Topo Design products for basically looking good which is ridiculous. To me, it is nice to have something for both the streets and trails. So much outdoor gear makes makes you feel like your about to summit Everest and is totally unnecessary. All you need well made gear made from quality materials and Topo Design delivers. I just purchased my second pair of the climb pants because I loved my first pair so much. Never before have I gotten so many compliments on a pair pants and also had a pair survive such a gauntlet. They lived through miles of trekking through the Andes and the Amazon and I couldn't have been happier with them. The store front has great people working in it who were helpful and fun. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR.

This has been one of my favorite brands for the last few years. However, the quality has been getting worse as they moved manufacturing for most of their products outside the US. I have multiple backpacks and various clothes from them, but have noticed that the quality is not on par with their original Klettersack any longer (for example, my Y-pack started changing color as soon as I got it). I still buy their products, because I love their designs, but not the quality of more recent products. They can hide behind woke language and their politics, but it is not helping the brand. Focus on the quality and not on the political statements.
