The Taproom at Pike Place

Came in at 5pm when hours said open til 10. Ordered our drinks then started to order a snack too and got hit with a curt “our kitchen is closed.” 5 hours before closing? Ok. Now awkwardly being stared at by the man “working” the kitchen… can’t wait to drink this beer and leave.

Seafood boil was great. Love the chili sauce. The crab was so flavorful. The jalapeno cheese sauce that came was amazing. I'm not a huge oyster fan, but these were good and had great flavor. Must have a vax card to dine in, but they did have multiple patio tables as well.

Awesome place. Everyone here is very friendly. I got some chowder from pike place chowder and brought it in here to drink and eat the chowder. They do not mind at all, a bunch of people were enjoying their chowder and drinking an awesome beer. Chill vibe, they are also children and pet friendly so bring the babies and bring the pups!

We went to Seattle for a concert and my husband saw their "build your own flight" deal. We figured we would stop in so he could try it and I could try their pretzel. We also ordered the wings. It was so disappointing. Not only did it take a really long time to get our food, but the pretzel was hard as a rock and inedible. To clarify, we did TRY to eat the pretzel, but it really wasn't possible. For the flight, the bartender who poured it stuck his finger in one of the cups while pouring and... had a bit of a hygiene issue. I usually try to avoid calling this kind of stuff out, but it was bad enough that my husband could smell the sweat on the cup and it ruined the cider for him. The wings were honey garlic and were far too spicy for the flavor than we were expecting. It was altogether a bad experience and I would not recommend going here.

Great beer and atmosphere, but didn’t provide food when we arrived at 7:00pm.

Nice enough place with a good beer selection, but they don’t cater much to anything that’s not beer. I ended up getting a cider, which was delicious, but I just do wish that they had more than just one cider available to order. Also, the price was quite high, we ended up paying $23 for 2 ciders, which was quite a bit more than I expected. So just removing 1 star for the lack of cider choice, and 1 star for how expensive it was. On the plus side, you can bring in other food from downstairs to eat here too, as long as you order a drink here.

Watch out if you’re a tourist! Not friendly and charged full price for half size drinks! Ripped off!! Moved on to Rueben’s Brew and had a great friendly experience and charged for what we received!

We hosted a company event here, and it was awesome! The owner and on-site staff were wonderful to work with. It’s a fantastic location right by the market and the water, and they have a cool space. We got great feedback from our attendees on the food and drinks. All for very fair prices. I’m not a Seattle local, but I will be back someday!

Did bee/cider flights and they were super tasty

Only good thing about this place is their location, with outdoor seating by the sidewalk. The beers we had were not very good. Not a really good selection, and the service was mediocre at best. Also very expensive beers ($24 for 2 pints). Much better selection at Yard House just 3 blocks away. Will never return here again. Good luck to the business owner.
