Electrifying, energetic, powerful, loving, smiling, praising, lifting spiritual temperature high.. you can't say that about a lot of worship houses.. but the Bethel experience, the Bishop Mckissick Jr has God's word in his mouth. A wonderful place to be, and a wonderful church home.
My husband and I are transplants from Chesapeake, VA (Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church a.k.a. "The Mount"- Bishop Kim W. Brown) needless to say there was a noticeable contrast in the churches here in Jacksonville, FL. My husband warned me numerous times not to compare churches when visiting but It was impossible not to compare to the standard we had left. Enter> Bethel, upon arriving we were welcomed by warm smiling greeters. We were seated by ushers/porters that were charming and helpful. The service began (on time) the worship was authentic and skillful. Then the best part the, word. It was amplified, literal, demonstrative and more importantly applicable. The alter call was smartly done with 3 calls (Soul decision, Membership, Salvation). While the entire service was charismatic and sensitive to the move of GOD, there was order. That balance afforded the congregation time for offering which was not a laboring event. Lastly, there was a thoughtful moment devoted to those requesting prayer and their names were listed as well for all to make a list of who to pray for personally. Benediction, the service ended we filed out of the building in a orderly manner. The parking was not cumbersome either, the traffic flowed reasonably smooth. We visited 4 more weeks (and I was looking for something to call it quits, but I was never able to find reasonable fault) and experienced the consistency of excellence we witnessed on our initial visit. We were so happy to join in October of this year. Looking forward to "getting to work" and remaining involved in a great ministry to afford someone else the same experience we felt... The Bethel Experience!
Belthel baptist instuitional church Is a great ministry
Every since I walked up in this CHURCH I never walk out the same. I felt GOD before I enter HERE. And it MAKING me a better person. I BEEN a member over 30 yrs & loving coming every Sunday to get a WORD from ON HIGH.
Best church in town!! Stop by any Sunday and let God change your life. When we moved to Jacksonville, FL, we visited several churches. When we visited Bethel, they greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. For me, that made a difference. None of the other churches compared to Bethel. When we heard Bishop teach and we learned the history of the church, we knew we were home. I recommend you come and get spiritually fed.
Was invited here by someone from our local Catholic church (Our Lady of Consolation). Attended for the first time this past Sunday. Great service. Really wonderful experience. Looking forward to attending again in the future.
Great service! The word of God is preached. Large sanctuary with a balcony. Ushers are available to assist you in finding a seat. The parking area is large, Children church is available. A separate teen service is also available. Many ministries are available, from outreach to grief.
I love so much your preaching and teaching the words of God. It's helpful for all congregation.
All I can say is "Won't he do it! Amen Great place to worship with a warm loving and friendly atmosphere from beginning to end. You will definitely get biblical teachings and a powerful word from God, every time. And that's the Bethel Experience.
It was a great first time experience. And you can tell the spirit, was there. I would definitely return.
