The employees here are so incredibly sweet and helpful. The place is also tidy as well and more organized than I thought it would be. Shoutout to miss Florence! She’s a sweetheart! She even offered me candy. Made my day! (Give her a raise! ❤️)
Emily did a great job helping me!
The "music" is so loud and agitating that I have to leave because it hurts my brain. When I asked if they could turn the volume down, they said the manager chose that volume. I am sure the manager doesn't play agitating loud music in her/his space but forces customers to endure it. People don't want to hear other people's music so loud. The music is not peaceful happy music. It is violent, loud and agitating. Employees are very nice (except for the person who chooses loud music which has been going on for a long time). Prices are fair. If customer doesn't like the price, then it will have a discount next week. All thrift stores refuse to sell if price is missing.
Texas Thrift has taken a significant turn for the worse recently. One of the biggest frustrations is the lack of assisted checkout. Without self-checkout options, you’re forced to wait in long lines, which is made worse by cashiers who often don’t seem to know what they’re doing. The whole checkout process feels chaotic and inefficient compared to how it used to be. Another glaring issue is their lack of inclusivity when it comes to clothing sizes. If you’re bigger than a size large, don’t expect to find anything for yourself. The selection feels extremely limited and unbalanced, catering only to a small portion of shoppers. Overall, the way the store is being run now is nothing like it used to be. Customer service, organization, and accessibility have all declined. It wouldn’t be surprising if Texas Thrift goes out of business within the next year unless major changes are made. Wouldn’t recommend shopping here anymore.
this was a favorite thrift store of mine for various reason but due to recent changes I have to think otherwise. they completely messed up the baby/toddler section! everything use to be organized by size and now everything is mixed up. completely unfair when the rest of the store is organized by size. I know most thrifts store are like that but why change something that was fine & inconveniences the customers that have been avid shoppers. I would drive 25+min to come this store for the very reason that it was organized! this store has wayyyy too much inventory for the baby clothes to be mixed by every size. honestly ridiculous that people shopping that area have to rummage through everything just to see IF they find something in a size they’re looking for. hopefully they change it back soon! such a bummer as that was one of the main things I shop for!
I used to travel over 30 minutes to shop here, I haven't shopped here in a few months and shockingly found out they didn't have dressing rooms anymore, after shopping for an hour with a decent amount of clothes. No refunds or exchanges, either. I'm highly disappointed that they took that away. Not every item will fit right since it's preworn and washed. Only bought items that were stretchy and half off. They now have self check out, which isn't helpful because they still check you out themselves. I'm highly disappointed how this store is running now.
If there was an option for 0 I would put that. This is the worst thrift store ever. A pair of shorts is $10. It also says that we saved $6.72 we didn't save NOTHING. My total was $58.59 for 7 items I should have gone to Dds or Ross. I don't recommend coming here unless you are ready to spend hundreds of dollers.
Not sure why they changed the store around. They canceled the shoe racks. You have to go down every aisle to shop for shoes. Self service register is not self service. It slows the checking out down. I like the store for shopping. I have gotten good items from the store.
I guess a company has purchased all these stores and some goodwills, it’s easy to tell which ones bc the stuff is suddenly lousy and the prices are absurd. This seems like some fresh out of business school kids little scheme to make money, and they think they can price fix or gouge bc they own the territory. It won’t work, this business is all about foot traffic and moving inventory fast. The only way to do it and maintain it is good stuff/good prices.
My first time....it was great. I found some great pieces to add to my wardrobe. A couple of suits 😍, several blazers and a few capri pants.
