Happened upon Taylor Street Kitchen while in the area today. Amazing! Delicious sandwich, cookie and coffee. The fresh baked bread was so good, I purchased a loaf to go. Kind and helpful staff, too. Highly recommend.
Had a yummy chicken orzo soup and squash salad. There was a fun selection of to go items and wine as well.
I visited Portland for a few days and I had the good luck to swing by this spot on their opening day. They had a wide range of items, all locally and ethically sourced and at a reasonable price range. The owners were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. My partner and I didn't know what we were going to do for dinner and they helped us create an a la carte take away dinner that was absolutely delicious. It makes me so sad that we found this spot on our last day in Portland but this is a sparkling gem for the city!
This place needs more reviews! How could they be a 5.0, right? Well my first impression is that they are! I had the steak and blue cheese sandwich and a veggie minestrone soup. Really good, and perfect for the cold weather. Staff are friendly, good ambience and comfortable seating as well.
I just bought a baguette for $3??!? and it’s fresh and delicious?!? I love this place! As someone who’s low income and has weird food allergies it can be really hard for me to find food I can both afford and eat. Knowing I can get lunch for less than $10 and that it will be *delicious* is a huge relief. Their staff is always kind and informative as well! Can’t recommend enough.
The woman behind the counter was so helpful and even let us try the chicken salad before buying it. I don’t usually like chicken salad, but this one was excellent! It was a delicious meal.
Tried this downtown deli today. What a jewel!! Everything was very delicious! We will be back. I believe their Italian sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve had in years! Bread was perfect plus their fresh perfect ingredients!!! Omg!
I am so happy to have TSK in the neighborhood! All the breads are fantastic. The wheat sandwich bread grills fantastically but the olive bread is my addiction. Took a loaf to family Christmas dinner and it was a huge hit. The roast beef sandwich I got our of the refrigerated cooler didn't look like much but it was. The bratwurst sandwich from the deli counter was over the top. Both were a perfect balance of flavors on that wonderful bread. I've gotten a few bottles of wine and they've all been delightful.
Everything I’ve tried from here is SO GOOD but the most recent veggie sandwich is my favorite so far. Highly recommend any variation of their tuna sandwich as well. Had many of their side salads including cucumber (pictured) and both beet and potato salads (not pictured). Super happy to have a great sandwich spot in the neighborhood.
Get the kale salad and the potato salad! Both have the most incredible and fresh flavors. I’m not from here; I wish I could re-create these flavors at home. Most definitely my favorite meal so far in Portland!
