Been here a few times. Love the roast beef sandwich. It's got some subtly sweet sauce like a jam or something that works really well. Mortadella and tuna sandwiches are solid too. They're on a quality bread too. If you're hungry for something simple but done well I recommend this place.
I've been going to Taylor Street consistently for the last year, and when it's good, it's soooo good. Recently, the quality of bread baking on the sandwiches has become a real problem. There was almost a month time where the Focaccia was consistently overbaked and chewy. A few weeks ago, there was a huge improvement, and then yesterday back to stale chewy tasting bread. For the price of these sandwiches I can't justify flipping a coin if I'm going to have a good or bad meal. I often come with a group of 5 or 6 people for lunch, and this is a group consensus, which is a real shame. If a change happens, please let me know and I'll gladly come back.

The quality of the soups have really taken a nose dive in the past six months. The tomato soup is no longer rich with cream and basil, but more like a pureed vegan vegetable mix. The potato soup was a thin and bland stock base with big hunks of pork fat and a few measly potato slices. The sandwiches are still great and the salads are pretty good, but for a $20 lunch, I still expect more excellence overall. Why the drop in quality, Taylor St? Did you lose omnivore kitchen staff along with your in-house baker, and nobody is tasting the meat/dairy items to make sure they're of the quality they once had?
FANTASTIC little deli. Sandwiches, salads, soups, sweets, and more... Homemade breads, pastries, candies; I can't say enough good things about this place. So, so good, HIGHLY recommend 🫡
This is a cute store and good to have in the neighborhood. We bought some great frozen steaks and roasts. They also have excellent bread and pastries. They now have beer on tap and a Negroni and Vesper Martinj for happy hour I will need to drop by for a visit.
Wow the flank steak sandwich was fantastic. Cappuccino (from Spella beans) was also amazing. I went during peak lunch time, but their turnaround was really quick and quality was consistent. A lot of bread, wines, pantry goods. Highly recommend!
