StormBreaker Brewing

Awesome brewery with great beer and space. They have a large outdoor covered/heated area. The space is very family friendly and all the food I have tried has been good. The service has always been great as well. They have multiple TVs and projectors, so this is a great place to watch sporting events. They even have a private event room which is awesome.

#162 on my world beer tour! You know the brewers know their craft when all the beers are good! Highly recommend not only for the beers but for the atmosphere!

I have been a fan of this spot since way back in the days when it was Amnesia Brewing. When I recently saw a story about StormBreaker starting to do brunch, I was excited. They mentioned they would have a Bloody Mary flight and Bao. Sounded fun so have been wanting to go check it out. We finally did today and it blew me away. The food was excellent; I don't always think of StormBreaker as a culinary destination but the breakfast Bao was really excellent. However, the Bloody Mary flight absolutely stole the show. All 4 of the drinks were unique, outstanding cocktails in their own right. Just fabulous. I wish I could have stuck around and ordered another flight and another order of Bao :). Will have to come back soon!

Really really disappointed, food took close to an hour and it wasnt busy just a monday night. I was about 5 minutes from asking for a refund so we could just leave. Food wasnt good either, they got my burger wrong twice. So awkward to keep asking for it to be fixed. Such a bummer seemed like it could be/has been a good place to go but isn't that way currently. Waste of 60 bucks.

Nice brewery with plenty of outdoor space and a nice atmosphere. The beers were great, and flights came on a great board in the shape of a bridge. Food was good too.

Pretty damn good fish and chips! And yes, chips are fries in the UK to the one below that said…”was good but I got fries instead of chips” haha!

Save your money. They nickel and dime you all the way. The $15 burger was the size of kids menu. The rueban has no meet on it and the ranch dressing (that they charge you for) is watered down. Update: After I wrote that top part, we asked for the waiter to take a look at our sandwich. He said he would take it off the bill. No, but then accused us of doing this on a regular basis. Around town, he was super disrespectful and even had a backward comment towards violence as he walked away. When he came back, he kept it going. We both told him how disrespectful he was. He just kept mouthing off and was so rude. The response from the management team was "many restaurants.Charge for french, fries and ranch, dressing and our rubens are made to a weight specification" they didn't try to make it right or anything or even say sorry. In closing, support a different venue, these people just don't get it. And they justified everything.

I've walked past this place numerous times since I've been in the neighborhood and it's always filled with a bunch of tourists in groups of 10 or more. It's business like this that have turned this neighborhood into a tourist trap. I decided to try one of their beers and I now have a $50 authorization on my card for coming in to get a single beer and settled the bill there and then and no tab. This is absolute BS! I'm never coming in here again. Credit card companies are offering businesses incentives to do this nonsense where they authorize a bunch of money on People's cards. There was zero warning from the bartender that this was going to happen for a single beer. It is absolutely absurd that you're doing this and using a point of sales system that thinks it can authorize this kind of money. Your business endeavors are yours alone and to not even warn people that you're participating in this nonsense is deceptive trade practice and absolutely ridiculous! There are people living paycheck to paycheck and this is dishonest, despicable, and detrimental to people expecting to pay the price tag--not tie up their hard earned money with an undisclosed holding! There is ZERO rationale for this crap. NONE!! Following day edit after seeing reply: Rob, Your response does not address what actually happened. I was standing at the bar, ordered one beer, explicitly told the bartender I did not want to open a tab, and closed the transaction immediately. I signed a receipt and tipped. This was a single, closed, pay-as-you-go bar purchase — not table service, not order-and-pay, not a tab, and not food. Despite that, a $50 pre-authorization was placed on my card with zero warning or disclosure. Everything you wrote about walkouts, tabs, QR ordering, and food service is irrelevant to this transaction. A tab-protection policy does not apply to a closed, one-item bar purchase. If your POS system is configured to run closed bar sales as tabs, that is a business decision — and customers must be clearly informed before their card is run. If I had ordered multiple beers and paid individually — something many customers do specifically to avoid tabs — I could have had hundreds of dollars tied up in authorizations. That alone shows the policy is being misapplied. The issue is not whether pre-authorizations exist in general. The issue is: • No tab was opened • No disclosure was given • A large hold was applied anyway That is not standard practice, and it is not reasonable to expect customers to “inquire” about whether a single beer purchase will trigger a $50 hold. Disclosure and consent are the responsibility of the business. Your personal history, staffing levels, and profit margins have nothing to do with a real-time transaction being processed incorrectly. This problem was created by policy and configuration choices, not customer behavior. I will be disputing the authorization with my bank and updating my review accordingly. I stand by my original point: this is a tab-protection policy being applied to a non-tab transaction, without warning. Get real. I'm sure that BOLI and the customer protection agency are interested in this kind of situation as well.
