I wholeheartedly recommend Smart Solar. Every part of the process, from initial estimate to installation to follow up monitoring, went so smoothly. I had previously gotten an estimate from a different company which was for more money and fewer panels 🤔 so I was very happy to come across Smart Solar. You should definitely get an estimate from them and hopefully you will use their exceptional services. And then enjoy your electricity savings!

I highly recommend Smart Solar Energy. We have been interested in getting solar panels for several years. We live in a rural area, were unsure whether net metering in our area was possible, and communication with a few other companies was frustrating. Smart Solar was helpful right from the start. The company handled all the details of the project efficiently and were excellent communicators, so we always knew the status of our project from design, through county and electrical company approvals and inspections, installation, and operation. Installers were very professional. We are now very happy to be on-line generating power from the sun, would highly recommend this company to others.

Smart Solar was great through the design and permitting process. They sublet the installation to Unity Electric and Unity made several errors along the way that delayed getting our system up and running. Through that process Smart Solar continued to trouble shoot and stay on top of every issue. As the problems with the subcontractor mounted Smart Solar initiated a reduction in my contract amount, issued a check to reimburse me for lost power generating days and delayed requesting payment until after the system was fully producing. In spite of the glitch, I am very happy with Smart Solar and their follow up. I have recommended them to several other people. Just confirm with them who is actually doing the installation.

Thanks Jenn, who was super helpful during the whole process—she answered all my questions, kept me updated every step of the way, and really made everything smooth and stress-free. The installation itself was quick and clean, with the crew arriving on time and taking care to leave everything neat and tidy. They also showed me how to use the monitoring app, which is super easy and gives real-time updates on my energy production. What really impressed me was the noticeable drop in my electricity bill just a few weeks after installation. I feel great knowing I’m saving money and reducing my carbon footprint. I was impressed with Smart Solar from start to finish. I always felt like I understood the process and the timing and cost of the project. Everyone I worked with was very professional and competent. The schedule expectations I had were met, which was not the case for friends in Portland who got solar panels with a different company. I always felt like my time was respected. The panels are now on the roof and generated power, and it's really exciting! A bonus - we have a tile roof and they (1) were willing to work with us and (2) did the work without leaving any broken tiles (one was cracked during the process but the worker on site was a former roofer and repaired it).

I have three friends in my area who have installed solar systems at the their homes in the last year. I got the name of each of their installation companies and did my research on-line. I decided to start with Smart Solar. After the first call with Smart Solar I knew that I didn't even need to call the others. My system is now up and running. The entire process went smoothly and they held my hand throughout the process. Every "i" was dotted and every "t" was crossed. I couldn't be happier. This was the best customer service I have ever received from any company. I have already recommended them to a friend who wants to add solar to his property.

Every aspect of my experience with Smart Solar was terrific. Phone calls were answered by a human who could answer my questions. In the event that I needed to leave a voice mail I was called back the same day. Emails were responded to almost immediately. Every aspect from initial site evaluation to final inspections was carried out on schedule. Tutorial on the app was patient and friendly. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend without reservation.

Great experience. Communication great, follow through great. System from the first day onsite only took 4 days to install. Granted additional days not included for inspections, meter getting changed out (only 2 days for our servicer) and backfilling the trench as we opted for a ground mount system next week (5 working days if asking). When we expand, they will be here for that too. Total time like 8 weeks and our county is one of the slower ones I hear to get some permits from. All and all great experience. Smart Solar Energy just finished our 16.4kw installation and we couldn't be happier!!! Jordan, Jenn & everyone at Smart Solar Energy were wonderful people to work with. Informative, punctual, professional & to the point. They weren't the least bit 'salesy' and I really appreciated that. I trusted them and they took care of us the entire process. Even at the very end of our project, when I had a few finishing touches I wanted taken care of, there were never any questions asked. They valued me and my extremely high expectations. If I have any advice for you as the customer, I would recommend requesting black railing and end caps if you have a dark grey to black roof (You might even ask if they can use black caulking.) and sticking with silver rails if you have a lighter colored roof. In my personal opinion, this will give you the most aesthetically pleasing installation. The entire process was painless. Smart Solar Energy did all the heavy lifting. Don't get me wrong, this is a long, drawn-out process but you basically get to sit back and relax while your team takes care of everything. At the end of the day, if you're even considering solar, I can't recommend Smart Solar Energy enough.

We had a very nice experience with Smart Solar Energy. They were easy to work with and kept things on schedule and worked within our travel schedule. They made us a very nice cash offer to install our solar when we said we'd prefer to pay cash as opposed to financing. The installers were very professional and friendly. The only thing I wish is that we could have met one of the people we spoke with at the corporate office. They were both very nice over the phone and via email so no worries there. I'm just an old school guy who likes to shake the hand of the person selling me something. That 4 star review should really be 4 3/4 because except for that one thing it was a very good experience.
