It looks really nice from the outside but google has incorrect hours. Sadly drove an hour to come and it wasn’t open :/
Always get a sampler set + a bottle from here, and have never been disappointed. A true gem of Seattle.
great place to learn about sake, try some really excellent stuff. small, very personable staff.
Johnnie is a delight and his sake is the best!
Fantastic bmsakw bar and shop. Great selection and prices, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere and service. Can't wait to visit again.
Great place and owner! Glad to have found this place walking by.
Amazing Japanese cultural nook in the heart of Pioneer Square. Stop by for the best Sake in town and a great conversation with owner Johnnie!
Combines a wide selection of sake with expertise and education. If you're looking for a bar to try a flight of sake and buy a bottle or two, this is the place. Fun date spot in downtown Seattle.
Loved this cozy little bottle shop! Have been meaning to check it out for quite some time, and the final straw was being pointed here for a sake I really enjoyed at Junkichi in Capital Hill. While they did not have the bottle I was after, the lovely gentleman there was able to recommend an alternative, which is currently chilling in my fridge. I came here with some coworkers not realizing how tiny the space is! Totally fine though, we gathered around a small standing table and all had sake flights, which were very very nice. Great service, and so much sake to choose from for purchase! Appears to be six on the tasting menu at any one time, and I was told the menu was rotated weekly on Tuesday. I will definitely be coming back here! TLDR: Great bottle shop, great tastings, be aware of small amount of seating.
Happy to have found this place. All the bottles I bought have been great and people I shared it with liked it too. A lot of affordable options and not just expensive bottles. It’s really great that they have flights that rotate weekly so it’s easy to revisit.
