I purchased some items at the North Carolina store that was too short for my son so I brought it to this one. The associate called her manager and she was not able to give me a refund but she let me exchange for items totalling the amount I spent. Besides the strong smell of marijuana that was left in the store by 2 ladies who used their restrooms everything else was fine.
Nice store! Smaller than other stores I’ve been in, but employees are very friendly. They don’t accept jewelry or swimsuits at this location, btw. I didn’t find anything in here, but the prices were great.
First let me state that this is the first time i have ever had to write a complaint on any service or store in my life, which i hope holds some form of merit. With saying that,I brought a large victoria secret tote and box full of clothes to the Southaven location tonight at 7:40pm. An employee named Jessica was beyond offensive and rude to me .She proceeded to tell me the items I brought in had an odor to them and would not look through thr rest of the items i had brought in due to this extremely offensive remark. The had examined only 4 items, when she called me over. the thing is, the items I brought in were majority all new, with tags still attached and the others were washed in gain laundry detergent before even being brought in. So how does clothes, from a smoke free home, brought to the store after being washed or never worn, stored in a clean home have a fowl smell.I was offended so badly I decided to ask 2 other separate store patrons, just to see if I was wrong or not, if they smelled anything on 2 separate items, telling neither of what had just been said. Both individuals made a remark that they smelled like laundry detergent. The older lady I approached even specified gain laundry detergent on one particular piece of clothing. I am under the impression that the young, inexperienced, offensively rude staff employed at this location just did not want to have to work due to it being 20 minutes before they could refuse to take in anymore potential merchandise. Not only am i upset and offended but embarrassed.I've known Plato's has a reputation for poor customer service but would never have expected to be treated this way. As an individual who is also in an industry where customer satisfaction and return clientele are important, this type of customer service would concern me. I know without a shadow of doubt that nothing I brought in had an odor!! The only way I can see to rectify the humiliation I experienced is to to leave a review on every site I can find about this location. You can take one look at me and see that appearance and perception means more to me than most and letting anything I own or intend to sell have anything wrong with it, let alone a smell is out of character and highly unlikely. I sincerely hope that this employee is addressed and informed as to the appropriate way to speak to customers, otherwise the business, like so many others will fail.
The variety of clothing offered is usually decent to fair, however the whole experience is ruined by the rude and condescending staff who act like they'd rather be doing anything else rather than helping you. The attitude doesn't improve much when bringing in clothes to sell, as both you and your items are treated with disdain and conceit. Obviously their "standards" are not employed with a sense of reason nor of impartiality, when the brand new or nearly new "on trend" items they claim to want to buy are not accepted. It seems to be a major feat that the store even stays stocked and up in running, and yet what's most confounding is that a majority of the clothing on display is in just as good - if not WORSE condition - as the items being brought to sell. So word of advice if you plan on taking your "gently worn clothes" to try and make a little extra cash.. Better save your gas.
The workers are incredibly friendly but they never take my clothes because they’re “not in style” today I brought in Michael Kors, Chanel, and Calvin Kline that still had the tags on them, never been worn, and they didn’t take any of it. This happens everytime at this location. What does it take to sell some clothes here? All my friends have the same issue.
Do anybody know if they buy baby shoes and clothes
Still wish they’d pay little more money… 💰💰
I Had a great experience here. They had a lot name brand merch at great nice prices to choose from and the staff and store manager are really professional and friendly buying clothes from you. I’ll be going back again for sure.
Customer service is abusive at best. Mikayla has a horrible unprofessional attitude and should not be rendering service. She is deterring customers. She was rude to my mother and I on multiple different occasions. Everyone on staff needs a class in customer service. Shocking the doors are still open with this type of blatant stereotyping. They are flat out rude, and not just Mikayla. Whoever is running this place should be ashamed. There must be new management because it has not always been like this. Just go to another Plato’s. They deserve 0 stars but it wasn’t an option.
Julie helped me today. My experience was AWESOME
