No matter how many designer and in season items I bring, I get lowballed. I check the page to see what they are needing and I get practically my whole bin back. Everything organized neatly, washed, ironed and folded. Less than $10 for American Eagle jeans that I bought for almost $50 and worn once a few months ago. Love their inventory but I bring in the same kind of clothing and get nothing. I know they have to make a profit but this is ridiculous.
If you need money this isn't the place to go. I just brought in Nike sports shorts Nike women sports bra 4 pairs of American eagle short 3 pairs of American eagle pants that had the tags still on them never been worn nothing I brought had ever been worn I brought in American eagle shirts they took out all name brand items and offered me $20 for it all I said I can't sale all that for 20 so I took it back the girl had the worst attitude said here's your bag back I went to grab it and it fell on the floor I did look through they're clothes seen almost the same exact items I wanted to sell for 20 or 30 dollars a piece. It's not the first time either.
The most unprofessional Clan of young, disrespectful, judgmental, deceitful, deceptive adolescents I’ve seen running a business. The blind being led by the blind Grand Master leader who owns the business. Take your business elsewhere. They discriminatorily categorize their customers in the system based on various reasons including but not limited to leaving a bad review, buying or selling over certain amounts, frequency, and interaction. They then use these codes, which reflect upon check-in to determine the level of service rendered to the customer. They refuse to show you a print out of the items you sell to them because the buying process is inconsistent and the prices change based on the customer. They should be sued and shut down for discrimination and deceptive business practices. Class Action anyone?
I came to Mississippi from TN to visit a friend of mind and I visited this store. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS STORE. Everyone was so nice. They helped me with what I was looking for. They have a variety of sizes, colors, and the prices where great. I couldn't believe that I spent $50 and walked out with 2 bags full and even found a pair of Converses for $18 and they looked brand new. Again everyone was so nice and that my experience WAS great. I'll definitely be back next time I'm back in South Haven, Mississippi EVERYONE Y'ALL NEED TO CHECK OUT SOUTH HAVEN'S PLATOE'S CLOSET OUT IF YOU EVER DRIVE THROUGH THERE. I have been shopping at this store since 2012. Such a great selection, trendy clothes, shoes, purses, you name it. There has NEVER been a time that I’ve come in that I have left with something and I’ve even brought some friends in with me and referred them and they love Plato’s Closet in Southaven. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and have even gone above and beyond at times if I was looking for something specific. Now that folks is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you haven’t been there yet, don’t miss out cause there’s ALWAYS a great deal. Besides…why go somewhere else and pay 2 or 3 times the price when you can find the same exceptional quality items at a fraction of the cost.
Ok I do like what I can find but I was shopping with my teenager and the lady next to me goes oh my gosh we are not at the club. The music was cursing, horrible, and my daughter even goes well I know what “on the pole” means. I am no saint and yes she’s in high school so these words are familiar but it made me want to get out of the store as soon as we could. I did complain to the cashier saying you don’t need to play elevator music but this is completely inappropriate.
I went into plato's closet today.And was very disappointed. I usually shop there but today went in and music was so loud I couldn't think. Clothes was not organized. And not good selection on clothes or shoes.
I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in. Bre and Kaley were both very sweet and helpful explaining the selling process. The store was neat and organized, I will be back!

ABSOLUTELY pisspoor discriminatory customer service. I brought in 3bags of gentley used designers. One bag of vintage Strapbacks/Snapbacks Baseball caps. 2 miniNorthface backpacks. And a small bag of sterlingsilver rings and watches and some Yezzey 350 Boost and they only gave me $20.. I asked for a receipt for my items they picked through and paid me for ( LIKE THEIR SUPPOSE TO DO ANYWAYS).. I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT HAVE A RECEIPT... I WAS TOLD BY THE ASSOCIATE IN THE STORE WHO SERVICED ME, FROM HER OWN MOUTH VERBATIM.. I CANT GIVE YOU A RECIPT and said Nothing else... That is not the truth and I did nothing to her for her not to give me a explanation on why she couldn't give me a receipt... She didn't even want to talk to me or even look in my face... Yes I'm a Black African American young male and I feel discriminated against because I've went to a different location Today with not even a third of what I took to the SouthavenPlatoStore and Cashed Out a whole $55 and it came with a receipt... I will NOT BE COMING BACK EVER TO THIS LOCATION... YOU don't have to look like a criminal to be one because those2 young female associatees robbed me with a Welcoming Smile... I had to leave a star so I could make the post but I give them No Stars UNACCEPTABLE
