Philadelphia Java Company is a charming little café nestled in the heart of Queen Village, Philadelphia. This cozy spot is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a welcoming community hub where locals come to chat, work, or just enjoy a quiet moment. The owners are warm and always up for a friendly conversation, making everyone feel right at home. I had a flat white and tried their labneh, both of which were absolutely delicious. Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or settling in for a leisurely afternoon, this café’s inviting atmosphere and friendly service make it a must-visit. It's definitely a recommendation! Highly recommend!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I go grab coffee to Java every Monday afternoon and spend the most relaxing 45 minutes of my week. I love reading my book while I have coffee with a slice of pumpkin bread which is delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and the girl that works there is very nice and sweet. It is the perfect coffee place for working/studying cause there’s plenty of tables inside and outside. I highly recommend this place!
While hand delivering a couple of Eagles schedules Saturday morning, I got nostalgic and drove through my old neighborhood. This may be dating myself, but there was a Wawa across the street (amongst I think a 7-Eleven and some other businesses years later) when I was young. Now it looks like homes are being built. Not surprised, but a little sad. Anyhow, across the street is a café that I have drove by a few times, but never went in. I cannot remember what it used to be, but it is now Philadelphia Java Company. Not yet having my first cup of coffee of the day, I Googled it. A patron said it was their “favorite coffee place in Philadelphia” and that is saying something! I had to try it. After ordering a coffee (black with no room as usual) and trying out a blueberry scone, I’m impressed. The coffee was brewed just right, and the scone was delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. No complaints. So what makes this café special to me? Although I didn’t have time to sit and take in the atmosphere, I could already tell that the vibe was relaxing and the space was perfect for working. They have Wi-Fi and I own a laptop. I will be back when I need somewhere to work on Philly business, and I’m going to try that “eggel” sandwich that many of the reviewers keep raving about. I had my first apartment in this neighborhood. This would have definitely been my go-to café. And it’s dog friendly! #trustkj
That coffee aroma is something else! It was super packed, but we snagged a couple of comfy chairs by the window. Great for people-watching, even if it got a little loud. Totally worth the squeeze though.
Philadelphia Java Company is a must have coffee shop that you have to visit in Queen’s Village. Everything is always fresh, good quality and made with love. The atmosphere is always positive, relaxing and makes your day. The baristas are kind, helpful and very good at their job especially the latte art is amazing. Last but not least the owner is such a warm and sweet woman who welcomes everyone with love❤️❤️❤️. My top recommendations are: 1. Cappuccino, 2. Labneh bread, 3. Mozzarella sandwich, 4. Almond croissant and 5. Beef mortadella sandwich.
One of the worst hot chocolates I’ve ever had. I love hot chocolate and don’t drink coffee. This place served hot water with a Hershey chocolate bar that was briefly dragged thru it before serving. Or? That’s what it tasted like. If you can’t commit to a good product, just take it off the menu. And, we were the only people in there and it still took a long time to serve it. Bizarre.
This is my go-to coffee spot. Great drinks, great food (love the eggel breakfast sandwich!), and it’s dog friendly. Everyone who works here is super nice and attentive. Definitely the neighborhood watering hole!
Decent cup of joe. Their chai tea latte is one of the best I've had. There's hardly any chocolate in their chocolate croissant but thats a minor concern. Plenty of seating for hanging out or a date. They have lots of quick middle eastern bites such as humus wraps, lebneh on toast, and zaatar (middle eastern herb) on a bagel.
I enjoyed a very delicious chia latte. It’s always a delight getting coffee here.
Sounds awesome! This place has a great vibe, good coffee, and super comfy seating options, both indoors and outdoors. Plus, their internet is on point! 🌟☕👌
