Every team member was professional, explained everything that was to be done, and made sure I was satisfied with the final results. I highly recommend McCabe Construction.
I had a pipe bust Christmas Eve and they had a plumber out that night. I was amazed at how quickly they got us back to normal. I will definitely be calling again if I ever need any work again.
My home was a total and complete loss as a result of fire, and the water damage that occurred when the fire was being extinguished. One would-be contractor was so overcome with grief, he left shaking his head, never to return. However, when representatives from McCabe Construction Co. arrived, though sympathetic, they went right to work. I was blessed to be assigned Randle Whitmore as my project manager. He is warm, personable, professional, knowledgeable, responsive, has excellent communication skills, good at resolving issues that occur, committed to quality work and has strong leadership skills. Randle handled all dealings with the insurance company and he and his crew worked diligently, did excellent work, and cleaned up afterwards. He made the whole process as smooth as could be expected during a pandemic. Our home has been resurrected from the ground up, from ashes (literally). We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend McCabe for your restoration and construction needs. I even have a ditty about Randle: Randle, Randle, He’s your Man! If HE can’t do it, NO ONE CAN!
Avoid this company like the plague. They exploit people who are in tough places to collect insurance money. They replaced my roof three years ago and it STILL leaks. They are unresponsive. DJ McCabe stopped answering my calls and texts. My initial contact was in 2021, less than a year after the roof was replaced. The photo here shows leaks that persist around the chimney even after they "fixed" it. It took two years to get someone out to "fix" the chimney and it still leaks around the chimney. This was during a rain event and no snow was involved.
Both inspector, Bobby Johnson and crew that did everything from damage removal, water removal, to packing and storing my personal things prior to the actual repairs that included replacing the floor, replacing the ceiling, repairing damage to walls and painting was done professionally, and in a timely manner. Very pleased with all work done by this company and would highly recommend.
Had a black walnut fall on the detached garage. USAA paired me with McCabe. Best compliment I can give is their work left a better product than before the damage occurred. My wife and I were very satisfied with their work. Based on this experience, I will use them again and recommend them to you.

We had a garage fire in Oct of 2021. We were so grateful that State Farm connected us with McCabe Construction and William Slankard. He knew how to get immediate attention and started process of remediation. Packers, cleaners, carpenters, painters, etc….he called in the troops. The work was first rate, timely and customer friendly. William and his team were helpful and responsive to all our needs. We would highly recommend them for any construction project.
If you have an insurance job, particularly if you have high end finishes but really anyone -- stop searching and call these folks. They made a nightmare construction scenario turn a manageable and easy experience, as much as being displaced ever can be. I had the absolute blessing of working with Randle Whitmore as my project coordinator. He is a master of organization and kept me in the loop on the various trades people coming and going, scheduling, time line. He made himself so available to us as sometimes we had odd off hours needs or questions, I really just can't thank him enough for making such a hard time in our lives so bearable. Most importantly, the finished work was BEAUTIFUL. After our home flooded, the first company I spoke to told me I had to find my own movers, find my own storage, and to tell them when I had everything out and they could start. Randle showed up and took care of ALL of that -they have the movers, they store your stuff, and they coordinated it all with the insurance. I hope to not have any insurance claims in the future but I will use McCabe for any and all construction moving forward.
This company is HORRIBLE!!! My daughter was sued by this company for a payment for work on a home she doesn’t even own and is not listed on the homeowners insurance that set this company up to do the tree removal after a tornado in 2023! She has cancer and missed court due to illness and this company is now trying to garnish wages. The job was incomplete and the contractors said it was done. She tried to fight everything with the collection company and they sued her anyway after proving the house isn’t hers. Completely unethical disgusting practices! Avoid at all costs!
