Madelynn effortlessly helped me make my first bespoke pieces! She is super creative, knowledgeable, and lights up the room with her bubbly personality. I felt taken care of, knew that every detail was considered, and enjoyed my time at the Label space thoroughly!

I'll start by saying that I don't have the look of the stereotypical luxury shopper, so I I've gotten used to unfamiliarity when it comes to starting a relationship with SAs/Stylists in NYC, but I've always gotten to a place of understanding once we get to know each other due a shared love for craft in clothing/luxury goods, but this was a horrible experience that left me feeling pretty horrible afterwards. I was first introduced to Madelynn on April 15th, a few months after I proposed as I was told about them by my alterations specialist at their sister company Alts. I will mention that I did have to cancel my first appointment last minute due to a last min work conflict (I cancelled my 5:30p appt. at 8:45am the day of) and I communicated that I would re-connect down the line when things calmed down with my job with no response (April 24th, 2025). I recently started my wedding suit search back up and have been shopping around to see who gives the best experience since all boutiques pretty much use the same fabrics. I remembered LABEL and re-submitted a request for a consultation and ended up getting matched with Madelynn again. The in-person experience started off amicably, but as the consultation went on, it got exponentially worse due to two main things. 1. I didn't feel heard: My stylist felt like she was pushing a certain look and feel and even fabrics that her typical clients tend to wear. While I do appreciate anecdotal examples and success stories, I am more interested in what fits me vs. the typical client. My vision is what I want to execute, not your client's. 2. I didn't feel like my vision was respected: Towards the end of the appointment I mentioned that I was interested in a custom shirt based off a Matthieu Blazy's, Charvet & Chanel reference. When I showed her the photo of the shirt she gave me an ugly look and told me what "her guys" typically do. Once again, not something I was particularly interested in for my wedding day look. I then went on to explain that I'm in the creative field and want subtle differences in the look and feel of my suit, to no prevail. This is where things started to feel objectively condescending. I ended up feeling uncomfortable after she showcased her disgust with the look I was wanting where she then emphasized that once I was ready to put the money down right then and there, she'd be happy to see me once again. I've purposefully left out any feelings or attitude shifts that I might have projected onto her throughout this review thus far, but it truly felt like in this moment she was frustrated that I wasn't making the purchase right then and there without realizing the fact that she had been leaving my voice and vision out of the picture therefore creating a hesitation to spend thousands of dollars at a place I didn't feel welcome at and wasn't sure could carry out the vision. I'll end with this for whoever from LABEL reads this...A customer expecting to feel heard or respected in a luxury environment is and should be table stakes, especially if it's for one's wedding. I don't need to get into the other smaller instances that didn't make me feel welcome because that's just life and not something that affects me much anymore, but these two larger themes are what's important. I will be taking my alteration needs to another company outside of the Alts/LABEL ecosystem due to this experience.

I highly recommend Emma Beck if you are looking to refine your style or just add to your wardrobe. I spoke with Emma before visiting the Labels showroom to discuss what I was looking to achieve. During our first meeting I knew Labels was a good fit for me and Emma was great at her craft.

Madelynn Mann is an incredible stylist and took the time to understand my tastes to best help me improve my professional wardrobe. The quality and design of the clothes she helped me pick out (not to mention Label’s expert tailors) is second to none!

I had a great experience at Label. I had them make me a custom jacket, pants and shirt. John DiGiovanni was great throughout the process, making sure everything was to my liking. The clothes are definitely high quality and they pay attention to every detail, from the fabric to the buttons. I have used other custom tailors in the past and Label is the best by far. I highly recommend Label for anyone looking for a custom tailor in NYC. Also, their showroom is really nice and they will come to you as well. Great experience all around and I will definitely be coming back for another outfit soon!

Madelynn Mann has made us 2 suits! One for our trip to Italy last summer and now our wedding tux! They are so amazing! We have previously shopped in Italy for custom suits and the quality is unmatched compared to our previous Italian suits! Can’t recommend this company and Madelynn enough!

Madelynn Mann is an an incredible salesperson for Label. She knows perfectly how to select the most amazing suits, jackets, coats, shirts, and shoes to make me stand out. In fact, I was at a recent event wearing a camel overcoat that Madelynn picked out for me and a total stranger came up to me and said that I must be someone important. There is no doubt in my mind that the person saw the coat and came to that conclusion. Thank you Madelynn, you are the absolute BEST!
