UPDATE – 11/13/2025 Well, two years out of the program, and I get an alumni survey supposedly from the CEO, Wes Crawford. It was obviously not from him and even offered a gift card for completing it. Best part? I try to open the link, and the survey has ended. I got the email less than 24 hours ago—how’s that possible? This is the only communication I’ve received from ILC since I left—no follow-up on my original review, no contact after my exit interview with ILC staff—and from what I’m reading in the more current reviews, things haven’t gotten better. I can’t recommend this facility to anyone. Of the few residents I’ve kept in touch with, they all had similar experiences to mine, and it is not worth the $40,000 cost to attend (at my time and without insurance). I recommend finding a good church group and local therapist, as these have helped me far more than ILC ever did. Original Review I was a patient at ILC for their residency program, attending for a full month. During my time there, multiple mistakes were made, causing me to lose tremendous amounts of precious time in both group and one-on-one sessions that were completely avoidable due to clerical and medical errors by the staff. I essentially lost the entire first week I was there due to not having the proper medications that I had been prescribed prior to attending ILC. Additionally, there was no information given to clients about who or what to contact to escalate issues. The interactions and group sessions—especially the off-site ones—were dramatically oversold and under-delivered on their effectiveness. Within four days of leaving the program, I had already relapsed, with no aftercare support available. No local therapists could be found who were accepting new patients, and I was essentially instructed that I would have to do any kind of therapy online. Had I been able to stay another week, I might have been in a good enough position to return home successfully. But due to the first week’s loss and being set back 7 to 10 days out of a 28-day program because of clerical and medical issues, I wouldn’t recommend the facility. It’s poorly organized despite having some amazing therapists and staff members.

By far this is a leading provider for overcoming any disease or discord that may be holding you back from your dreams and purpose. I appreciate their willingness to not take such a militarized approach but allowed me to go at my own pace. If I said I needed to rest, rest is what they encouraged. For once I felt I had a voice along my own journey to wellness. Don’t look any further. You’ll find home here!

I was in ILC for a few months and I never thought I’d be saying that I had a good experience in treatment. The staff were amazing and created a safe environment for me to open up for the first time ever which then led into the start of my healing journey (although at the time i didn’t know it). Highly recommended ILC to literally anyone seeking out treatment!

No treatment center will ever be perfect and there will always be things that one can find to criticize or complain about because providing care in a treatment setting that's PERFECTLY tailored for each individual is literally impossible. But ILC rises to this challenge as best they can. I have been out of treatment for 3 plus years now and I still see the general practitioner I met while under their care and the same therapist (though she now works at NCCC and not ILC). There were many employees of ILC that truly made lasting impressions on me and cracked my heart wide open in the best of ways. When I got to ILC I was really only showing up there because I felt I didn't have any other option....it wasn't because sobriety or healing were things I was actively pursuing or even felt capable of if I am being honest. But somehow over a few months in residential, followed by a couple months in PHP then IOP (which I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to anyone debating whether to go through all stages of the step down process once "graduating" from redidential) sobriety and healing became priorities, goals, and eventually accomplishments/lifestyles I was committed to. I know for me, I will have to continue to trust the process, do the work, continue to adapt and grow when things stall out or I feel myself tempted to slide back into old comfortable patterns, toxic as they may be...probably for the rest of my life. But ILC provided me with the community (both with specific people that have become incredibly dear to me personally or instrumental in my care provider wise) but also with the tools to and contacts to continue walking the path of recovery and never feel like I have to do it alone.

Can’t say enough great things about ILC. A close relative attended Residential and PHP, and it was a game-changer for him. From the very proactive and caring staff (Admissions to Case Managers to Therapists, especially Greg, Liz, Lindsay, Cheryl, Dave, Declan) to the top-notch experiential therapy to the compassion and caring of fellow patients, my relative gained so much from attending ILC - quite frankly, I believe it saved his life. Thank you so much ILC family - will always remember and be grateful for your compassion, experience, expertise and support.

My experience at ILC helped me build a lasting foundation of recovery that has saved my life and allowed me to build a compassionate relationship with myself that continues to grow to this day. I learned here how to understand and appreciate my thoughts and emotions. I made friendships that, to this day, set the example for what it means to be open and honest with myself and with others. Without the guidance and support I received ILC, I would not be the person I am proud to be today.

There are no words to describe my disappointment. The program was disorganized, changing therapists in the middle of my program. Testing results were not reviewed until weeks after their return. ADD testing was administered, but then told results were skewed be cause of past ECT. There never seemed to be a treatment plan specific to me. After paying close to $30,000, self pay, I most definitely did not receive my money’s worth. I was offered a free week of care to compensate for the issues, mich to my dismay.

In my time at their PHP program, my safety was threatened and my HIPPA rights were violated. I was thinking about living in the PHP house, but had safety concerns about living with a bunch of men who I had never met before. I was told I had absolutely nothing to worry about. But later, I found out the person ILC had hired to live at the house full time with the clients had a twitter account where he regularly posted explicit videos of him engaging in sexual activities on the ILC property. I was very shocked and confused the ILC was not doing better social media screenings to make sure they are not hiring people like this to live at the house full time with clients, a lot of whom are recovering sex addicts. My case manager, Cheryl, also violated my HIPPA rights by telling other clients personal information about me, and using my name, without my prior consent or knowledge. My dietary needs were also not met on several occasions, and I had to skip lunch, even though I was also there to work on an eating disorder. The groups were also poorly ran, and I often rarely got a chance to speak. I left ILC feeling worse than when I arrived. I would highly recommend not going here.
