I am a clinician who just completed a professional visit to ILC. I didn’t know much about them prior to my visit but after touring their facilities, speaking with their interdisciplinary team, and experiencing first hand the breadth of work they do, I was most impressed. Many centers claim to tailor their treatment but ILC genuinely seems to deliver. They are capable of treating the whole client, not just the diagnosis. There seems to be a healing that takes place from not only a medical but also a spiritual perspective and treatment doesn’t end at the usual 28 day mark, they have the capacity to allow clients to step down while maintaining their treatment team. I really liked what I saw.
I had the privilege of visiting this treatment center in Nashville, TN, and I cannot say enough about the level of care, professionalism, and dedication I experienced. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in the well-being of each individual. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by a team that clearly prioritizes healing and long-term success. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and designed to foster a sense of safety and serenity. They offer a wide range of healing modalities, including breathwork and Kali sticks, an EMDR-inspired treatment that provides a unique and effective approach to trauma processing. With trained therapists available for both group and individual therapy, I felt that every aspect of treatment was handled with intentionality and expertise. I also saw the individualized treatment planning while fostering group cohesion and autonomy amidst people in program. One of the aspects that stood out most to me was their commitment to continuity of care. Their alumni program ensures that individuals who complete residential treatment continue receiving support, rather than feeling abandoned once they transition out. This ongoing engagement speaks volumes about their dedication to long-term recovery. Many of my current clients who have visited other treatment centers have reported feeling abandoned by other facilities, but this facility is designed with follow-up protocols in place. Additionally, their focus on nutrition and dietary needs is exceptional. Regardless of someone's dietary restrictions or preferences, there is flexibility for them to meet a variety of dietary needs/concerns. With a specialized team addressing eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, they provide a well-rounded approach to healing that considers both physical and mental well-being. Their expertise spans intimacy disorders, substance use disorders, and treatment for depression, anxiety, and trauma. It’s evident that this center operates with great care and intentionality. Every aspect of their program is thoughtfully designed to support healing, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a compassionate, professional, and well-rounded treatment experience.
ILC has moved, brightened and changed my life for the better. i gained a sense of community, self respect, and routine within the 4 months i spent apart of this treatment program. i couldn’t thank my amazing team enough for how dedicated and helpful they were to my treatment plan, they attended to my needs, respected my requests, and treated me like a human, not like a patient, which seems to be a theme for treatment places ive been to. if you’re looking for a light or a sign to ask for help, this is it, ILC is the place, make the call, and put yourself first!<3
What a nightmare this place is. If you’re black I highly recommend looking else where. My first week I experienced lots of bullying. Lots of racists jokes were said by a few clients. During my second week, i got prescribed a medication that made me so sick to the point I was on the floor in a ball. I went to the ER 3 times and I later found out through few residents and an RA staff member that nobody believed I was sick despite me throwing up non stop and being FORCED to show them my vomit. I was still forced to go to groups despite having 3 Doctors Notes saying I was ill. When I brought that up The Day RA staff said they had no clue what I was talking about when the Night Staff also specifically told them I could sit out. I felt very targeted. I’m sadden to write this review because I was blessed with a grant to come here for my recovery! I highly suggest looking else where. :/
As a treatment professional deeply committed to guiding individuals on their journey toward recovery, I cannot speak highly enough of Integrative Life Center (ILC). When I stepped through their doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for an extraordinary experience. ILC's dedication to blending evidence-based methods with innovative approaches sets them apart. The comprehensive continuum of care they offer, from Residential treatment to Intensive Outpatient programs, ensures that each individual receives the personalized support they need at every stage of their recovery journey. Having attended professional retreats at ILC and referred clients to their facility, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of their programs. The staff at ILC are not just professionals; they are compassionate guides genuinely invested in the well-being of every individual under their care. One of the most remarkable aspects of ILC is its commitment to integrating the mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. Their holistic approach recognizes the interconnectedness of these aspects of our being and empowers individuals to rediscover their true selves. Furthermore, ILC's community-focused approach fosters a sense of belonging and connection that is invaluable on the path to recovery. The supportive environment they create enables individuals to heal individually and thrive within a community of like-minded individuals. In summary, Integrative Life Center is more than just a treatment center; it is a beacon of hope for those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. I wholeheartedly recommend ILC to anyone seeking clinical excellence, personalized care, and a transformative experience.
ILC has employees that truly care about the clients that come here. My experience there was nothing but positive, and it always felt like a place of love and healing. They really know what compassionate care is!
I love working with Jaime Gibbons. She is compassionate, energetic, and dedicated to making ILC a great place to refer to.
I can’t say enough good things about ILC! From the program, therapists, staff they are truly saving lives! I am grateful that I got the help I needed to process through my trauma and learn new tools to help reset my nervous system and reprogram my responses to stress. They truly care about the people they are helping and I would recommend ILC to anyone struggling with trauma and/or substance abuse! THANK YOU!
My niece has been in "treatment" with this program since the end of July. She sought residential treatment for depression and general inability to cope and work. Now almost 3 months later she is about to be discharged from their partial hospital or IOP with a plan to stay in the area, presumably to attend outpatient therapy at Integrative Life Center. During this time my niece has rarely communicated with any of her family (who love her very much), which of course is her prerogative. However she has asked her therapist to communicate with family on her behalf. Her therapist, likely a well meaning but inexperienced individual, has done so - rather than encourage my niece to use her own voice (this is called empowerment). Being the messenger - this is called enabling. Another stand out moment: my niece did not care for her original therapist so she was permitted to choose a new therapist. Now in most treatment programs, part of the recovery process involves working through issues that come up with a therapist, as these can be useful tools for helping residents to increase skills in coping, dealing with uncomfortable feelings, problem solving, and communicating -rather than jumping ship because it doesn't always feel good or the therapist doesn't always agree with you. Most good therapeutic programs will not support changes in therapist at the drop of a hat. The purpose of the residential setting is for residents to learn coping skills and to learn to tolerate uncomfortable feelings in a safe setting. The purpose is not to make everything easy because life is not easy! I will not go into further details of my niece's case but I am a former psychiatric nurse with 13 years of experience working in residential treatment, assisting women with eating disorders, trauma, substance abuse issues, and mood disorders. One thing that struck me early on in my niece's stay was that she was only permitted access to her cell phone for 2 hours each day. Even at facilities where I worked, residents had access to their phones; they dropped them off at the beginning of a group therapy or meal and picked them up when the group or meal was over. Isolation? Cutting residents off from their former community? Brainwashing? From what I can garner about my niece's experience at Integrative Life Center, she has been drawn into this community and now does not want to leave, which will keep their pockets well lined. From what I know of her discharge plan it will set her up for the same set of circumstances (isolation, loneliness) that initially culminated in her need for residential treatment. I do not believe that this facility operates with the best interests of their residents in mind. By the way, I speak as a loving relative with experience in the mental health field who cares about the welfare of my niece and not as a dissatisfied customer who footed the bill for this (expensive) treatment.
I truly cannot say enough good things about Integrative Life Center. Walking through the doors was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and leaving, I can honestly say my life has changed for the better. From day one, every single staff member made me feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. The therapists are incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to helping each person heal. They don’t just treat you like another patient—they take the time to understand your story, meet you where you are, and help you build the tools you need to move forward. The environment is warm, welcoming, and safe, making it possible to be vulnerable and do the hard work that real healing requires. Every group session, individual therapy session, and interaction with the staff contributed to my growth in some way. I learned healthier coping skills, gained a better understanding of myself, and left with so much more hope and confidence than I had when I arrived. What really sets Integrative Life Center apart is the people. Every therapist, tech, nurse, and staff member truly cares about the clients and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels supported. Their kindness, patience, encouragement, and genuine compassion made an enormous difference in my recovery. This experience has been genuinely life-changing. I came in feeling lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of what my future would look like. I’m leaving with a renewed sense of purpose, healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges, and a support system that I’ll always be grateful for. Thank you to everyone at Integrative Life Center for believing in me, encouraging me, and helping me become a stronger, healthier version of myself. I will always be grateful for everything you did for me. If you’re considering treatment here, I cannot recommend it enough. It truly has the potential to change your life.
