This place is just the best. Cute, quiet, and run by the nicest volunteer staff you could imagine. They roast their own beans, make all their own syrups, and source tasty snacks locally. they’ve got delicious vegan options that actually feel creative and satisfying. My oat milk chai latte was absolute perfection (creamy, not too sweet, with just the right ginger kick), and the breakfast burrito was crispy, warm, and fennel-forward for those who love it. The space has great vibes. beautiful aesthetics, plenty of outlets, and the kind of calm that makes you want to stay and read or draw for hours. Parking was a breeze in the gravel lot, and prices are super reasonable Also All profits after expenses go to local nonprofits. Love this shop. I’ll definitely be back.
Incredible gem. WOW. People are treated here with love and kindness no matter what. No money? No problem. Everyone working here is a big family and their passion for what they’re doing shines bright. The coffee is amazing, but the goal this coffeehouse has set out to achieve is being met in a significant way. Cheers to Heretic, proud to share the same air with these humans
Free coffee drink of your choice and a free burrito starting at 8am daily. I believe it is first come first serve until they run out. Not only is that a screaming deal but the place itself is charming and inviting. These guess are loved and appreciated not just in this neighborhood but to all the folks that travel from others for their offerings. Thank you for offering a little the light in the darkness.
Situated not far from Reed college in a neat community of Portland is this hidden gem. Captured in this picture is a Miso Caramel Late that was absolutely decadent and beyond my expectations. The caption of a sheep in wolves clothing carries significant meaning. This seemingly standard coffee shop is anything but ordinary. Here you will find an incredible organization that donates money, their time, and resources for the local community. For those on SNAP they support community members by providing free coffee and borritos when available. Socioeconomic status here means nothing, as they hold a space for humans and not just how much they have in their wallet. Blessed with an excellent indoor and outdoor seating area, fantastic coffee, and their own willingness to serve...this is a excellent coffee shop to visit. There are sufficient parking options on this property, so even if you are travelling from far, it is well worth the drive.
This place is a special little spot. They serve a snap or EBT breakfast which allows less fortunate people to get a coffee and breakfast burrito without having to pay for it. The staff is volunteers and the customers are always friendly and appreciative. The cost of a breakfast burrito for a paying customer is very reasonably priced and is a great way to start your day by supporting this coffee shop while putting some food in your own belly also. They also have a great selection of pastries available to dunk or dip in your hot beverage.
We went across the river to enjoy a coffee at this sweet little place, and so glad we did. They are wonderfully kind people and doing good for others. Plus the cocoa and treat were fabulous this cold morning. We will be back.
