This is a coffee shop that stands on business! Great beverages, great service and great moral convictions. They support community and food security. What’s not to love?
You might get think it’s just a coffee shop, turns out it’s a community. A community that understands community. That understands that fed people and people who are cared about (and cared for if need be) are best positioned to elevate themselves and others. This is more than pay it forward type behavior, this is class, this is caring, this is consideration of others with the understanding that nearly everyone of us is closer to receiving SNAP than we are of being a billionaire.
Whenever I'm in PDX I love coming to Heretic Coffee Co. Their coffee is served piping hot, particularly Midnight Rider. Thanks for being such a terrific place for the community. <3
This little coffee shop is amazing. When they froze all food stamps they were able to raise a lot of money to be able to offer a burrito and coffee a day per person on food stamps. That was amazing it helped us eat. Thank you so much.

Perfectly balanced coffee drinks, friendly staff, and sitting out on the patio was delightful.
Small place, not a lot of seating. Burrito was delicious but my tea tasted a little funky, which prompted the star loss. However, this place is all volunteer run and is helping people in need during all this craziness with the SNAP shut down, so I really support what they are doing! I got to see someone come in for a meal and they were afraid they could only come in once and staff told them to come back everyday for as long as needed! That may not be the best business model, but it's the best humans helping humans model! Keep it up!

Everything about Heretic Coffee is marvelous!! I love the coffee returning time and again for the coffee and the values they exude!! They love and support neighbors, community and people. The world would be a far better place if business, business owners and politicians acted more like Heretic Coffee Co!!
