Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

Hawaiian Brothers is amazing delicious food. This is one meal my family of 4 can agree on and enjoy. Each meal comes with white rice, macaroni salad and a choice of protein. Two large orders is enough to feed 2 adults and my 2 children with enough leftovers for at least 2 adult lunches. 😋 Sometime I hide the leftovers and eat them for lunches on 2 different days. Bad girl but so much yum!! Tonight we had amazing Huli Huli Chicken which is marinated teriyaki chicken that is grilled. The second dish was Honolulu chicken, it is chicken infused with fresh garlic, green onions and sesame. Again we have a full box of food leftover and I am excited for tomorrow's easy leftover lunch! There is parking out front of this location and around back. There are several parking spots reserved for carry out or curbside pickup , which is convenient and makes the stop quick. I was very impressed with the several different seating areas. There are quaint small tables for one or two people. Larger tables for groups of 3 or 4. Then a huge seating area with lots of tables by the TV where a large group could meet up or have a team lunch. I enjoyed the decorations around the restaurant. My son really liked the surf board and hanging net or basket lights. The tiles on the wall where fountain drinks is filled is really pretty and reminded me of the many shades of the ocean. This is a great experience and wonderful food. The check out ladies have all be very kind and super nice!! Thank you. 👍

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Especially the macaroni salad - I really didn’t know what to expect when I first saw it, but I could seriously just eat a whole plate of it. It even strangely goes well with the rice, it was just so hard for my boyfriend and I to stop eating. Cant wait to try again!

It's very rare for me to leave a review, especially a Five-Star one at that. But this establishment absolutely earned it! I've eaten here many, many times. The food has always been fantastic, the staff always goes above and beyond their required roles, and always with a smile on their faces! I've only eaten a few main dishes. The Huli-Huli is my absolute favorite, with the pork dish coming in second. The new sliders are delicious and I highly recommend trying them! I will continue to frequent this location for as long as I live in Kansas City. Thank you Hawaiian brothers for showing this city what true customer service and appreciation is all about!

i recently had a surgery at truman University of health hospital and i went here twice, so much better than other Hawaiian bros ive been too theres even options for no contact ordering, no drive thru though

Super clean inside and go here all the time. One of my fam’s fave places to eat. Also there is fast service which is nice

This was a nice location! The food was great but I absolutely loved the customer service here! I was even greeted by a worker before walking inside the building! We got our food very quickly, and the staff insisted that they’d grab everything we needed instead of us grabbing it ourselves at the counter. I was blown away because many places like this don’t go above and beyond in that manner! I’d like to shoutout Kamela (Kam) for being an incredible staff! She was very friendly and worked with a sense of urgency! She’s personable with all customers and made sure that we had everything we needed! I appreciate her hard work & dedication. It’s clear that she loves what she does! All restaurants need more people like her!

We were waited in immediately. The gentleman that took our order was professional and courteous. He checked on us a few times after we sat down. The NKC location is great!!

My first experience here was great. The person at the front counter and staff was friendly. I ordered a mix plate the Huluhulu and molokai chicken were both delicious choices I did like that the macaroni didnt upset my stomach like at mo bettahs the veggies maybe could of use a tad more maybe butter or seasoning but was a solid meal overall and would definitely come back . They have dole soft serve which was very good not to sweet I mixed the pineapple and strawberry. Would definitely eat here again .

We always stop at a Hawaiian Bros when coming through KC. The food is always fresh, and service is always fast and friendly. They also have a great selection of sodas. Pro Tip: Substitute veggies for rice because the chicken is served over rice!
