Everything is designed with a slightly oversized fit, ideal for layering and mixing within the collection. Sizing feels intentional, with comfort and creativity in mind. The latest drop, Peasant Bride, just launched—and yes, I gave in to the floral glovettes. No regrets. Also, if you're near their storefront, you won’t miss the dreamy garden vignette display. It’s whimsical, romantic, and totally on-brand.

Review pertains to online ordering experience: Made a purchase and within days the item price on website lowered. Figured Gudrun would price match. Nope, absolute refusal. Only solution was for me to return the item at my shipping expense, reorder same item, wait another 15+ days to receive same item. For a company that touts sustainability, returning an item for the same item just to get a price match is ridiculous. Now, with the delays in responding to me, the item is out of stock to re-order at the lower price. Worst customer service ever. You've lost a regular customer. I won't be placing any future orders. Buyer beware of their price policy, return policy and the slowness to respond to concerns.
I’ve been a fan for years - but the fact that I can no longer return online items to the store and that most of the clothes are transparent requiring multiple layers has really put me off. It seems like bad business not to take returns in person as if I return at the store - chances are increased I may see something I would like - so I really don’t get that.

It’s becoming rare to find a store full of truly lovely materials. The staff were super nice as well. Examples of their design process for their block printing and embroidery used as decoration were a nice touch.
If you like contrasting prints and colors mixed in eclectic pairing, this brand is for you. Swedish brand with basic silhouettes in dresses, tops, pants and sweaters. The coloful prints and colors inspired by a different theme each season sets the clothes apart. Mix and match. Sizing is a bit oversized and perfect for layering and mixing the various pieces. The "Peasant Bride" collection just launched- see pics below. I couldn't resist the floral glovettes. The storefront display is a garden vignette. Can't miss it.

My daughters (NYers) took me to this store after I had open heart surgery. It had been a rough year. The clothes seemed to like my beat-up old body. They felt comfortable, forgiving, age appropriate, but in no way frumpy, dated. I thought I could be busy, healthy, confident in my new red dress. 5 years later, I order on-line, and stop at Greene Street when I visit. No illness now, I can bring well-being to a place where everyone is helpful, friendly: the best. G.S.ethos, design and variety call out the best me. I sewed 3 little buttons on that 1st still-fresh red dress to cover permanent ink and they look like a Gudrun detail. My faves.
I enjoy coming to this lovely store. The store brightens my days when I get to shop. Cynthia Ann and Panela are so kind and the best at customer service. Two nice people who make shopping a relaxing experience. I will always be a Gudrun Sjoden shopper.
