Foxtail Coffee Co. & Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream - Gate Parkway

Founded in Winter Park FL, which favorably predisposes me toward them, this apparent newcomer to the Jax FL market is new to us and seems is now everywhere. Not a coffee shop frequenter anymore but understand the attraction and Foxtail hits all the right notes. Oddly found myself visiting the Jax Beach location only two days prior, that inaugural visit to a Foxtail Coffee did the breakfast sandwich potato waffle and a black coffee, both excellent. Then this visit to the Foxtail near IKEA Friday to sample their Kelly’s Ice Cream. Fine ice cream, return visits guaranteed!

Stopped by here on the way home from my trip last year for the first time and inadvertently stopped here again on the way home. I got the latte last year and it was great. Got the drip coffee and a sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich this time and was happy. The coffee had a hint of nutmeg maybe? There was something giving it a festive flair. The bagel was a little chewy but good. Everything else on the sandwich was solid. Definitely check them out if you're in the JAX area.

The atmosphere is great, very cute cafe. The problem is the pricing and food. Paid 7 dollars for a sandwich with isnt horrible but when it came out it was just tiny and flat, it looked like they popped it in a microwave for a minute and thats it. The cinnamon roll my boyfriend got was more like a debbie snack honey bun. So i recommend going if all you want is to chat over coffee but if you want a mini breakfast then i dont think this place is it.

I went today to get an iced coffee with oat milk and the service I received was very rude. I also asked if I could get more oat milk and the response was “What?” With a sour face. So I took the coffee and left and will be headed elsewhere to buy some coffee. Even the young lady at the cashier was rude. Very disappointed and totally unexpected as the service at the foxtail at the beach was amazing.

I recently visited Foxtail coffee and was pleasantly surprised. The moment I stepped inside, I was drawn to the warm and inviting modern farmhouse vibe, with a perfect blend of rustic wood, soft lighting, and seasonal holiday decor. The space was beautifully decorated, with live flowers placed thoughtfully on each table, creating a cozy, festive atmosphere. There were various seating options, from low to high-top tables, making it ideal for both solo visits and group gatherings. The counter service was friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. I decided to try the egg, ham, and cheese croissant. Initially, I wasn’t too impressed with how it looked—it came on a simple aluminum dish, which didn’t do it justice—but once I took a bite, I was pleasantly surprised. The croissant was flaky and buttery, and the combination of egg, ham, and cheese was perfectly balanced, making for a satisfying and flavorful bite. The coffee was just as impressive. It tasted fresh and well-brewed, with a smooth, rich flavor that paired perfectly with my meal. While the presentation of the food could be a bit more polished, the overall experience at this coffee shop was delightful. The cozy ambiance, friendly service, and quality coffee make it a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a warm drink or snack. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

After multiple attempts with Foxtail I will not be returning. The barista’s do not know their own menu. I have ordered the Mena several times and always request lightly sweetened, and each time it’s constantly over sweetened or lacks the lavender bitters. When I’ve Ordered door dash they put a sticker on the lid of the cup and the liquid causes the sticker to stick to the lid so you're drinking your coffee with half the sticker hanging on. The first time I went they were super rude and since then they haven’t always been pleasant. It’s like an inconvenience to serve you. Compared to Starbucks, they’re very inexperienced and lack basic common training with being a barista. Every time I’ve ordered a sandwich the top of the bagel is overcooked and hard so the sandwich is not even fully edible. I’m very disappointed because this is a very cute coffee shop in a good location, but I will not be returning.

Great vibes, good music, and an overall solid atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to sit and talk with a friend or settle in and get some work done, this Foxtail location really does a lot right. I’ve been to plenty of Foxtail locations, and I’ve been coming to this one regularly for almost a year now. This is very close to a five-star review, but there are some noticeable downsides that come along with the strengths. For one, I really wish there were more flavor options. This location doesn’t even carry white mocha or brown sugar syrup, which feels odd, especially when banana syrup is available. Just an interesting choice, and not one that makes much sense to me. The staff, overall, is great. You can tell things get tense when the place fills up, but when you actually take a moment to talk to the baristas, they’re welcoming and friendly. One barista- blonde hair, don’t know her name- recommended a salted pistachio flat white over ice, and honestly, it changed my life. That drink alone deserves recognition. This location has a lot of potential. The crowd it draws and the location itself are pretty much ideal. That said, it sometimes feels like there’s a lack of care or effort being put into the store. Whether that falls on the baristas or ownership, I can’t say, but it’s noticeable. All I can really say is that I hope this place has a bright future. It’s truly close to being perfect, and I’d love to see it get there.

I went there yesterday morning for a coffee. As you enter, no greeting of hello or smiles. I went to order, no greeting again, just stern faces. I got a flat white for $5.42 …… I will say at least it was hot. At first I was startled by the size, I had to double check with the rude workers if it was actually my coffee…. It’s so tiny. I thought to myself, maybe it’s great coffee though and that would justify the over $5 I paid for less than 8oz of coffee….. not at all. The coffee tasted burnt. So crappy service and crappy coffee. I gave 2 stars because at least it was hot. Never will go here again.

I gave foxtail a 2nd chance and this time I visited in person, customer service was not great I did not get greeted. Upon walking into an establishment I would at least would like a greet to feel welcomed as it is a sit down coffee shop. I felt rushed while ordering and it was just me in line, I did not see the staff treat the person before me with the same manner.

My friend and I enjoyed a cup of delicious coffee paired with soft muffins. The peaceful ambiance made it an ideal spot to relax and spend some quality time together. The coffee is a bit pricey, though, but the experience makes it worth it!
