I am writing this review because I want to shoutout Cici who served us at the sandwich and soup bar because they were honestly so sweet. My friends and I went to Elephants this past weekend when the Portland Literary Arts fair and Zine Symposium were going on and it was packed! Me and my friends were trying to figure out how to share the small amount of mac n cheese left in one tray between us and Cici reassured us that there was more 🙂↕️ She really took care of our little group and handled the long lines and crowded store really well (basically sold out of everything too!) Big shoutout to the cashiers who were also there that day. There were so many ppl y'all are troopers Thanks for being a real one Cici hope ur doing well queen 💚
I was interested in your soup, but an allergy to hair, and reading Mrs Gloyd's review, i'm concerned about all the hair. Several times. Kept eating the hair! She so politie to eat all that and hair and keep coming back. Ps, i have alopecia. And i don't bring my epipen
Usually people are nice here. They need to let the lady go with the red hair. She is rude and made faces at me when I made sure I had the right sandwich. She shrugged and rolled her eyes and scoffed. Extremely unprofessional customer service.
Besides the cookies, bread, and packed salads at the counter, the hot food in the back is amazing. Don't miss the bite-sized snacks on the shelves, either!
This place has everything you need or want, sandwiches, soups, coffees, chips, cookies and much more. The staffs are friendly. Good we had was tasty and filling. And best of all they were all half price on Christmas eve.
This is the second time that I have been here. I went early this morning to get a ham and Swiss sandwich ( the first time I bought it, I accidentally dropped half of it on my kitchen floor) and a chicken salad sandwich and a bag of chips. I also got a cup of coffee to drink before heading back home. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was very soothing. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu there
Limited options for fresh salads. No extra dressing available. Checked out and wasn’t offered a bag for my items nor plastic wear. Never again.
Stopped by this coffee shop early in the morning and was greeted with such a warm welcome and a genuine smile. It really set the tone for my day. The service felt personal and kind. The lady at the front was not only kind but also went out of her way to recommend some great spots to visit in the area. It felt more than just a coffee run; it was a genuine and friendly experience. Great coffee, cozy vibe, and amazing service.
I had a veggie sausage sandwich and a cup of coffee for breakfast. It was delicious. I will come back on this trip.
I had today, perhaps . . one of the very best enchiladas I have ever eaten. SUPER YUMMY! I have been coming in here on occasion, for years. Clean, nice atmosphere, etc . . The banana bread and marrionberry scones are particularly good. The only reason I don't come in a whole lot more often, is the really spendy prices for most items . .
