We had the best time with EZ Kayaks Tours and Rental! The communication and instructions beforehand were incredibly helpful and they even adjusted our time to take account for the wind in the afternoon. Our guide, David was so knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging for anyone who may not have been the best on the water. He knows the best parts of the tour and manages expectations accordingly. Also, he’ll take beautiful photos for you so you can sit back and enjoy the views and water. The snacks and water included is just a cherry on top of perfect experience. Will definitely be recommending this company to any friends and family who come to Southern Nevada!
During a family Thanksgiving trip to Las Vegas, I was seeking some outdoor adventure and was happy to find EZ Kayak Tours and Rentals offering trips launching within an hour's drive of the city. Although they offer shuttle service, I was happy to drive myself, especially as that gave me the chance to stop at Hemenway Park in Boulder City on the way back to view a herd of bighorn sheep up close and personal! Although I'm an experienced kayaker, I chose the guided tour as I often do on waters with which I am not familiar. I found our guide, Dave, to be an excellent leader, keeping our small group together, while allowing us to paddle at a comfortable pace. Dave was incredibly knowledgeable about the geography, history, flora, and fauna of the area which he enthusiastically shared with us throughout the trip! While time actually spent in Emerald Cave was quite minimal, it need not have been any longer as the scenery as a whole was the main attraction. The canyon itself was awe-inspiring, and there was plenty of clear green water to admire outside of the cave, including at Bob's Beach where we stopped for snacks and a short hike up to the ruins of the river gauge house on the hill. Apart from the historic significance of the site, this spot above the river offered new views of the canyon in which we had paddled. Regarding wildlife, we spied many ducks in the midst of our paddle as well as two great blue herons and a bald eagle on our way back to the launch site. All in all, I highly recommend this trip as an escape from the city into the great outdoors! The service was friendly as well as professional in terms of both the booking and the trip itself. The next time that I'm in the area, I plan to rent a kayak from this company in order to explore a bit further down the canyon on my own!
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! 1. They are excellent at communicating everything: what to expect, where to meet, weather changes… you don’t have to guess or worry! (The wind was going to pick up on our tour and they asked to move it up so we can avoid heavy winds, they are on top of it!) 2. The tour itself is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and I found it quite relaxing. 3. The tour guide, David, was insanely knowledgeable about the river, history of the area, animals in the area, and the plants! Not only was it a fun and beautiful experience, I gained so much knowledge as well. This kayak tour is a must!!
David was our host and we had a great time at Emerald Cove. The debrief was clear, and the journey was really scenic. He shared the history and geographical importance of the area where we kayaked, which made the experience even better. The wind was starting to pick up, but we were well informed and the pick-up instructions were clear. We took amazing photos, and this experience stands out compared to competitors that take twice as long. My friend even conquered his fear, and it was the perfect way to start our day before heading to the Grand Canyon. Thanks again for the advice via WhatsApp and for keeping us in the loop before and after the trip
David was our guide and was considerate and very knowledgeable! He went out of his way to make our group’s experience memorable! Highly recommend. The extras they provide are unexpected but helpful dry bags, (sun hats, if needed), very cold water and over the top snack bag! It was one of our favorite experiences during our visit!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We took our chances booking in February and we had great weather. From the minute I booked Gio was Amazing! He guided me through from beginning to end on land, from time changes to the weather. He provided water and snacks and added so many special touches. Best customer service I ever.had. David was the best kayak guide. He shared so much knowledge on the wildlife and history of the surroundings to give us the best experience possible. This is a must do trip. We would all do it again! Ez Kayak was fantastic to work with and they really went to extra mile to communicate and make sure we had a good experience. While costumer service maybe dead with many companies it is a live and well with EZ Kayak. We had a great time on the Colorado River and would recommend to it to anyone.

David was grate! He contacted us the day before to make sure of all our needs and preferences. We really appreciate that. Even though we arrived a couple minutes late he was very patient and took his time to make recommendations.
