Emory Clinic at Emory University Hospital Midtown

My review is about Dr David Reyes I was very disappointed with my recent visit on 10/24 and I have made final decision not to go back. First of all, when Dr. David Reyes checked my back with stethoscope, the stethoscope did not even touch my back or was very light touch. He would have not listened to anything if it is not touching my skin. He was only pretending. What if something really was going on inside? He would have made a critical mistake One week before I was coming for this appointment, I had my blood lab work done. My thyroid medication was running out before I saw him, so I called endocrinology department and requested for refill and I specifically mentioned that I just got my lab work done and the result was posted on mychart so Dr Reyes needed to review it. Whoever the person that I spoke to read off to me what the message was and that included reviewing the lab result. Dr Reyes prescribed me the same dosage of medication. However on the appointment, he said that I needed to be on the higher dosage. I told him that I just picked up my medication and I needed to go the pharmacy again for new medication. Dr Reyes received the message for prescription refill request so he prescribed but he did not review the test result? If he was reviewing my health history and my age very carefully, he would have prescribed the right medication but he failed to do so. So so very unprofessional. How could a doctor prescribe a medication without carefully reviewing the health history? so shameful. He stated he will be quitting this December. My doctor at Johnscreek had left so I had to come all the way to the Midtown and he was quitting too. I would like to meet a doctor who will continuously take care of me. Dr Reye's response was "that is how life is". He should have not said that to his patient who was very upset and disappointed. He told me to comeback in 6months and I asked what the appointment was for. He stated "so you can see the new doctor". Dr Reyes is very unprofessional and he seemed like not taking care of his patient ** UPDATE** when Dr Reyes asked me if I wanted for 3months or 30day prescription, I said 3months but he prescribed 30day.

Rude ghetto incompetent staff !! Went to the emergency room with an allergic reaction and chest pain. Nurse practitioner came out and just gave me some Benadryl ( I could have taken that at home. ) even after I told her that I was having trouble breathing and swallowing. How can you prescribe a patient without really knowing What the hell is really wrong ?? They didn’t even bother to take any X-rays. I had to ask for X-rays to be done. I Also heard another nurse practitioner to tell a patient that they were not allowed to be serviced again because it would be committing Medicare fraud. Seriously ?? So far this is one of the creepiest emergency rooms that I have been to in my life. Not to mention that the hospital is filthy on the inside. Dust everywhere , Seats in the waiting room are disgustingly gross ! Homeless people everywhere trying to get their next fix from prescription meds being prescribed with no questions asked. I couldn’t even really put my arm on the arm rest on the seat because it was so dirty. I have to wonder how safe and sanitary this place is. Most of the nurses/ Staff working in the emergency room look like a recovering drug addicts themselves. Don’t ever go here !!! They could care less about any of the patients that come into this place. Clearly it’s all about the paycheck.

Sitting in the waiting room (been here since 12:00p.m.) of the ER waiting for my results. Been waiting for 2 hours on a room for the doctor but wait that's not the worst part. The registration nurse was talking to another nurse and told her "you know I don't like old people right?, so I'm going to put her paper back she can wait" like wow just when you thought you was whispering. I wish I knew who paper work it was so I can let the old lady know even though she doesn't know the nurse and the nurse doesn't know her she refuses to help her because of age.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Primary care physicians office organization is horrible! Very disorganized staff, called several times to make an appointment and was told they couldn’t see any doctors schedule after being on the phone for an hour giving insurance info and was told I would be on a waiting list. Received a call the next day with 3 open dates for appointments, I put them on hold to ask my fiancé and when I got back on the phone all three days were taken, in a matter of 2 min. I was then told they would call me back and of course never got that. PIEDMONT HEALTHCARE IS WAY BETTER!!

I try and give everyone a chance so when i came here and things kept getting messed up i tried to let it go. The last straw was when i found one of the cleaning staff had taken my cash out of my pockets. It was only 15 dollars but it was my last 15. Its really sickening how someone can steal from someone who is sick and just came out of surgery. I am never coming back. And im making sure no one i know goes to this establishment. Ridiculous. Unprofessional. No wonder you have 2 stars.

Really dislike the 7floor, get there appointment is at 8:15 seen at 8:30. All I needed was a PPD shot, you have to sit and wait for them to finish gossiping before you can get since. Be ready to get a fake good morning, smile and talked about

Had an appointment with Dr Reyes. Staff was short and un interested. The nurse was very short and rude with no compassion and was not interested in my needs as a patient. Therefore I walked out before seeing the Dr. and will never go back .

I don't recommend as they have no clue what they're doing. Needed a second dose of a vaccine but they sent me as an employee to Emory Employee Clinic to "save me some money". Turns out that the employee clinic does not offer the vaccine event though I was assured that they checked it does. A week later I'm scrambling for another doctor appointment to get my shot, had to reschedule multiple meetings, and wasted like 6 hours trying to figure out what is going on. Compared to other university clinic care I dealt with Emory is laughable. The unfortunate thing for Atlanta population is that Emory is essentially a monopolist! If you can run away.

I came to this hospital because I heard so much good stuff about it but when I get here it is just terrible. My fiancé is talking to the nurse and has a seizure and falls out in the floor and all they do is tell him he needs to get up. We have a room BUT HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN IN 3 HOURS. They hooked him up to an iv and it’s been empty for 2 hours the last we seen from a nurse or doctor was 3 1/2 hours ago it is ridiculous I don’t even want to give 1 star

Cancer Center is terrible. They are concerned with profit, and not healing. They will fear monger and coerce you. Ruin your quality of life then try to push you into doing it all over again, after you've declined. I hope you all rot.
