This was my first time here, and definitely won’t be my last! The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The handmade soda and tea selection was great. I got the Cacio e Pepe pizza and ricotta meatballs.
Had a great experience here- walked in with some friends in the last hour before closing just to check the menu out. Christian from BOH talked to us about the menu and offered options for me because I’m dairy-free. We ended up ordering a pizza and got the mama Mia pizza with vegan cheese. We asked to have the feta and spinach + artichoke spread on the side for my friends to add to their slices. Overall amazing pizza. Thank you for being very accommodating. Christian was so kind and helpful and honestly made the experience for us. Thanks, we’ll be back :)
Some of the best pizza in Jax! The staff was super friendly and there was a great vibe to the whole place. It can definitely get busy and you seat yourself, so make sure you plan ahead. I will definitely be back!
If you like Detroit-style pizza, this is a great spot. Some of these reviewers can’t be trusted. I can tell some of them just don’t like Detroit style, and that’s fine. Also, others are still mad about the theatre going away and decided to take it out on the new business in a Google review, apparently. Keep reading if you want to know about whether the food is actually delicious or not. We got the Caesar salad, a med. Godfather Part II, and med. Six-Cheese Cacio e Pepe. Snickerdoodle and salted caramel gelato sandwich for dessert. The salad was ok. Instead of crouton bread crumbs on top I would have loved to see real croutons made out of their pizza dough. Also it needed more dressing, it was barely there. This was the only thing that was sort of mediocre. The pizza was great and exactly what you want with Detroit style. A light, fluffy, airy crust with a great crispy crunch around all the edges. People complain about not enough sauce. Well I love plenty of sauce too, but I think these pizzas are actually well balanced with a light amount of sauce and some great toppings. With this style pizza it’s all about the crust - more sauce would make it too heavy. My wife and I found the pizza to be delicious, and the main reason for the five star review. The cherry on top was this gelato sandwich. Delicious creamy salted caramel gelato in between two Snickerdoodle cookies. The texture of the cookies was impressive - very soft and chewy to make it super easy to eat, but held together and never fell apart. Highly recommend. Yes, the Tractor sodas and drinks are unique. If you can’t have pizza without a classic Coke, then this spot might not be for you. I love trying unique drinks and tasted a bunch of the sodas. The Cherry Cream and the Lemongrass were both very nice. My wife enjoyed the sweet tea with a splash of lemonade. The atmosphere is beautiful. Due to it being an old theatre, there are very high ceilings with plenty of natural light from all the windows. It’s bright and inviting. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t very busy, only about half full. I can’t speak to how busy it gets on the weekend. Give this spot a try. I think this is a great addition to San Marco. We will definitely be back.
We arrived on a Friday night almost at closing time. They took our order and it didn't take long for us to get our pizza. The sodas at the soda fountain are different from the regular ones. I really liked them, and the pizza is good but nothing spectacular. As for taste, there are no fixed rules. My wife was delighted with the place. To me, it seems pretentious, something that tries to be but doesn't quite live up to it. Perhaps something more classic would have fit better with the aura of the place. That said, the service is good and it's worth the money, since they made us another pizza even though the kitchen had already closed, which is always appreciated.
Restaurant is Old San Marco movie theater use to be. Went on Wednesday during trivia night. Staff and trivia was good. Ordered salad and pizza. Both were okay. After I ate all the toppings of pizza, bread underneath seems to be half cooked. Anyway, good atmosphere and great staff
5 stars easily! The hot honey pepperoni pizza is SO good and the pimento cheese is unreal. Definitely one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. Can’t forget the delicious margarita or deliciously crafted cocktail by Cam. We will 100% be back next Tuesday.
I came here for the first time. Omg was so good. I got the lunch specicial- which includes pepperoni or cheese pizza, caesar salad and an organic fountain drink. It was soooo delicious. 10/10 recommend. The spinach dip is everything. I will definitely visit again. The atmosphere was awesome as it use to be the San Marco theater. They had an old film projector on display. Great vibe as well. There is something for everyone.
If you fancy an eclectic ambiance with good natured scenery - then topped with delicious pies... Hit "Directions" and go in your vehicle with your best pal and come on down! This used to be the old San Marco theater and the vibes are telling of that. Beautiful people with even more attractive food really Sallies up the place! I enjoyed their "Momma-Mia" pizza. I'm a health nut and this was the acorn of my eye. Plenty of seating and aroma is everywhere you turn. The bar in the back was stocked and the employee were all super polite and helpful. So going back this week. Hope to see you there.
The pizza was amazing! The sauce was delicious, and the dough was light, fluffy, and perfectly baked. We got the pepperoni slice, and it was incredible. Highly recommend
