We attended here due to it be connected with peddle pub and we were out celebrating my birthday. The location on bay street was the meet up spot before we took off as we ended the night there we went to the restroom then grabbed a table outside. Before we could even try to decide what we were going to order the bartender runs outside request us to order a drink since we used the restroom she was completely rude and unprofessional. As we approached the bar I let her know we weren't trying to skip out without buying a drink we were just trying to figure out what we wanted and she didnt have to be rude to us. She then proceeded to let us know we can leave or she will just call the cops and have us removed. Now with all this being said the people she addressed out the group were all black individuals. Our other friends whom were caucasian went in after the situation had already occurred used the restroom and she didn't question them not once. We will request that Peddle Pub remove their partnership with this company. We will NEVER be back.
Bold City’s staple beers are always good, the new ones today are ok...I’m not a fan of the half done interior ceiling, and there is a need for a ceiling fan at the two areas on the side of the front doors. Waitress very nice and friendly, this location just misses the mark. The bar itself is neat but the decor could have been laid out better and more retro. Brick walls and an old ceiling aren’t enough.
Erika the bartender was so friendly and helpful with my questions. I really love the openness and getting to see the brewing area from the bar. Yummy beers but not mind blowing. Certainly worth putting on your list of places to try in Jacksonville though!!
My favorite bar downtown. Best beer in the city. Affordable and part of the fabric of downtown. This bar will be dearly missed.
Excellent beer 🍺. We had a blend of 2 beers called "Duke of Whale" 🍻 listening to classic rock. 👌. Next one is going to be "mad manatee" 😅
My rating is based solely on the fact that they sold tap water to a homeless or unfortunate man. If they don't want to get him wasted don't accept his coins for water, what a shameful scene.

Best place to grab a beer in Jax. I only wish it were open later on weekdays, but it forces me to go home which is probably good.
